To Me!
This is a story based on a true life incident involving one of my friends and me.
“Kuttu, it is your first day in your new school. Get up now! So lazy! Aren’t you aware of all this? ” mom shouted. I woke up and said “you’re only waking me up now?” “Yes I’m only waking you up now! I’m not the one to go to your new school.” mom started. I woke up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that I took a quick shower and got ready for school. I then ate my breakfast. “I started; I don’t know the way to school”. “Who told you that you are going there by your own? Papa is going to drop you in your school for a week. After that you can go to school by your own”. My mother said.
My parents and I got into the car went to my new school and looked for my name in a list and found out the class. I had no friends during the first two weeks, but, I got a friend who was very kind and caring (not mentioning name for security). As the days passed we became closer and closer, best friends. We were almost same. Parents of both of us were born in the same place, worked in the same company, etc… We loved each other. We played pranks on each other; we even fought and bet each other for fun. We made new friends and we were all happy. Our parents knew each other and they were happy for us. One day she was not in class, I couldn’t control myself thinking of her, paying no attention to the studies going on in the class.
We worked hard together to succeed and that was a blessing for us. It helped us in studies and also other activities like comparing, reading etc…. It was the end of one year and we passed on to 8th grade and we were in the same class. That was meant to be luck for us and we still took it as a blessing and wished that it will happen year after year. But luck doesn’t favor us every time. And because of that we were never to meet again; that year passed by and we went to another class. That was a real bad luck for us. What happened was that neither she nor I studied well. That was the last we met. Every time she saw me she didn’t wave or smile at me. She never saw me but, I saw her walking past me, showing off, with lots of friends, dirty ones, absolutely dirty. She had fallen into bad company. What I was able to show her was nothing except loneliness.
One will not get luck every time; And if something bad happens, it should replaced with a good thing. But nothing like that happened in this case. Why does it all happen to me? What have I done for such a bad luck? God, don’t give this to me again. But yes I was able to see it as a benefit. Knowing that she wouldn’t be coming back and will stay in a bad condition, I started looking for my life that had left off me. I found it in books and started gaining knowledge and language. There are a lot of true lives incidents like this yet uncovered. Hope you were not sleepy!
