These are three popular universities in Turkey that give a very qualified education.
University education in Turkey is one of the major problems.Taking university education doesn’t mean a good career opportunity for students.In Turkey, there are a lot of people taking good education but many of them become a potential unemployed after graduation.
In Turkey , finding a good job is only possible if someone graduates from a popular university. The popularity of university is based on the quality of education.After reading this article,you know three popular universities of Turkey.
Middle East Technical University
Middle East Technical University is mainly known as METU or ODTU. METU is a world class university especially in engineering departments and institute of sciences.Physics and Mechanical Engineering departments of METU are popular worldwide.

- METU gives qualified education in engineering and natural sciences.In industry,METU students are mostly preferred.

Bosphorus university was founded in 1971 on the campus of Robert College.Bosphorus University is located on European side of Istanbul. Bosphorus University is popular in social sciences,engineering and natural sciences. There are two campus of university,which are known as South Campus and North Campus.

Ben Bilkent’in Turkiye’nin en iyi universitesi olduguna kesinlikle katilmiyorum. Bazi ogrencilerinin cok basarili olmasina ragmen genel olarak ogrencilerin seviyesi cok dusuk. Bir universitenin iyi olmasinda bakilan cesitli sartlar var. Ne kadar bilimsel yayin yapildigi, ogrenci basina kac hoca dustugu gibi.. Bilkent’in bu tur konularda iyi olmasi dogal cunku parayi bastirip hocayi aliyorlar. Alirken de su kadar yayin yapacaksin diye sart kosuyorlar.
Ben de su an Amerika’nin en iyi universitelerinden birinde master yapiyorum ve burda ciddi sayida ODTU, Bogazici mezunu varken sadece bir tane Bilkentli gordum ki o da burslu okumus. Senin gittigin bolumde cok Bilkentli olabilir. Bu her yerde ayni olmak zorunda degil. Tam tersine benim bildigim ODTU yurtdisina ogrenci gonderme konusunda cok basarili. Kaynak veremiycem ama duydugum seyi soyluyorum. Amerika’da doktora yapan yabanci ogrencilerin geldikleri universitelere bakmislar. ODTU butun universiteler arasinda onuncu. Bilkent’in bunu gectigini sanmiyorum.
Aman neyse biz birbirimizi yiyim duralim. Kimse sallamiyo zaten..

Boğaziçi is by far the best university in Turkey. The university system in Turkey works differently than in United States or in Europe. What makes a university a good university in Turkey is the quality of its student body. Every student takes the test called Öss after completing the high school and they are placed to the universities according to their results in that test. Boğaziçi, in all fields including engineering programs, requires the highest points. To give an example in year 2007, Boğaziçis Management program accepted 100 students, the latest to be accepted was the 370th out of 1.7 million candidates. So that department took 100 super students out of the best 370. In order to get accepted to METUs same department, you didnt have to be so good, although you should still be somewhere in the first thousands(that means METU is a very good school too). Now the logic is simple, All the students in Boğaziçi could be enrolled in any other university in Turkey(including private universities like Bilkent WITH %100 scholarships) but probably Half of the METU students aimed for Boğaziçi but couldnt make it and went to there. Coming to Bilkent, it is really sad to see a Private University classified as one of the best universities in Turkey. In Turkey the Private and State universities are not the same as in United States. Turkey is much of a social state, and the foundation of private universities were allowed only in the last two decades. Who goes to Private Universites in Turkey? Children of rich parents who are not that well to make it to Boğaziçi or Metu. There are also limited number of scholarships for the top 1000 students, but as I said majority of the students turn down that offer to go to Boğaziçi or Metu. The best private universities are Koç, Sabancı and Bilkent, they all probably have better equipment and all(especially Koç and Sabancı have state of art campuses) but as I said, these schools are known to be for idiots with money, and not much appreciated in Turkey(at least not as much as Boğaziçi and Metu does.) The third best university, after Boğaziçi and Metu worth mentioning would be Istanbul Technical University. None of these schools have medical school though. Best Medical Schools in Turkey are Hacettepe Universitys Medical School, and Istanbul Universitys Cerrahpaşa Medical School. Also none of these schools(Boğaziçi,Metu and Itu) have law schools. There are really not a worth mentioning law school in Turkey. Galatasaray Universitys law school takes only 20 students and has the highest points, but probably Istanbul and Ankara universities extremely big law schools(each gets around 400 students every year) are better but still not very hard to get in.

Niyazi Yetmez arkadaşım Bilkent’ten yurtdışına giden öğrencilerin EZİCİ çoğunluğu burslu olarak yurtdışına gitmektedir. Parayı bas git mantığı olsaydı Türkiye’deki diğer üniversiteler de tonla adam gönderip reklam yapardı. Ama onlar genelde dediğin gibi adam yolladığı için buna gerek duymuyorlar

Boğaziçi nah the best university in Turkey. Who can say that university is the best. I think we have to seperate ranking as per departmen. We cannot rank universities generally. I am a undergraduate student in Bilkent and working on Elec. Elec. Eng. I can say sth for my department. Bilkent EE is the best depratment among EEE. In Turkey people graduated Boğaziçi University Engineering Department known as not a engineer because they generally join another career oppurtunity. I know many people who had wanted Bilkent Department but won METU due to their low University Enterance Exam Point. If you search on the net Bilkent University’s Academics you can see they are very very important people in science.

i have been in istanbul as a student and like to share my experience.
1- if you wanna study study in istanbul bcause culture arts science all way available.
2-bu, itü , ist ün , marmara , yıldız are top universities.
3-itü is very famous for the engineering and many students work while study.
4-the way of living in istanbul is great for students.
5- universities in ankara is sort of goverment policy to attract students to ankara.
6-who study in istanbul hardly go to anotolia.
7-who study in anotolia willing to got istanbul in work matters
to make up the end:
istanbul is a city following newyork london paris and berlin.
so no way out to study somewhere.
