U Promise (The College Student’s Financial Sword and Shield)

Finally an place for students to gain financial freedom. UPromise offers a variety of finaincal windows for students at all stages in their journey to gain financail independence.

As the summer progresses, many incoming college students are facing the question as to how they will pay for their college education. Students entering graduate or professional programs are feeling the pressure even slightly more than those students taking their maiden financial voyages. Luckily, the “Mayflower,” has docked and claimed new territory for all students feeling the pressures of the “Mother Land,” and she pries into the empty wallets and purses of all in search of magical genies and golden lamps that will afford them the means necessary to make their dreams a reality.  Well say no more, Sallie Mae has heard the cries of many students entering this field of dreams without a penny to their names. And most graciously she provided the golden lamp with a genie for all who would take the 5 minutes away from a You Tube video to register an account with UPromise.com.  It would take more than this small bit of information to provide you with all the information that is available to you on the UPromise site, so after looking through this article, make sure you head on over and discover some helpful information for yourself.

Below are 7 features I thought would be of greatest interest to most students

1. Your parents didn’t know this, but they actually can help you pay for college.

One of the great features of the UPromise account allows its users to register, of course with their prior knowledge, their parents credit cards and debit cards on the UPromise account. At this point 1% of all transactions made with the registered card will be deposited into the registered UPromise users account. If your aunts and uncles want to help out too, just send them a quick inviation with the UPromise form, and they can help you pay down some of those loans too. Of course you are going to want to register your own debit and credit cards as well.

2. A Savings Account with Your Name On It

That’s right, that ol saying, “its never to early to invest in your future,” could never ring more true than it does today. UPromise account holders have the opportunity to open their own savings accounts. So all those percentages of purchases and transactions that you will undoubtedly forget about as the school year marches forward, will await your return, with a return for you. If you would rather savings opportunites that are a littlle more short term, certificates of deposit are also an option.
