Weak America

  The High School my son goes to is a joke.  A glorified daycare service for teenagers.

  The teachers are lazy so instead of coming up with stimulating class content, they throw on a video, or tell the kids to Google stuff.  When the teachers are sick, they tell the kids to go read a book or go home, instead of calling a substitute.  My son has been absent from school more days because of “canceled” classes, half ass ed school spirit farces, etc.  He isn’t getting much out of his 2 million minutes is what I mean to say, so much so that he is going an extra year hoping that will help.  He shouldn’t have to.

  Crowd Management or Education?  Oh, I almost forgot to mention, there is a town not far from here that has been on the economic down slope for years.  The high school there has divided their programs into, going off to community college, going off to service industry, or going straight to welfare.

  I could probably go on for days, but I won’t.  The point is the public school systems here in the west are crap.

  The teachers whine and complain that they are overburdened yet in my eyes I don’t see them doing any work.  They are weak.  America is weak.  Its not just the school system either,. so stay tuned for the next installment.
