What Types of Students Do You Like to Have in Your Classes?
Some kids just get on your nerves, right? So how do you go about making the situation better for you? I wish I could have these kinds of peers…
I would like to have students that I could be friends with. Friends and associates are intirely different. Friends are people you can depend on, and associates are people who talk to you, but they don’t share as strong of a bond as close as friends do. Associates may use you for their own personal gain, but a friend should always have your back anytime you need them. Friendship is a sacred thing, so if you don’t have people you can trust or don’t trust you, everything else pales in comparison.
I would like to have students that help me if I didn’t understand something. Most often, the teacher is busy, and doesn’t have time to re-teach a lesson, but sometimes students can learn work a little bit better by the way their peers explain things. If your peers can help you with your work, then that means they understand. Sometimes it’s a good idea to let students teach a class infront of their peers. Who’s to say you might learn something from them, other than your teacher?
I would like to have students that don’t make fun or joke about me. Everyone always has something negative to say, so the best thing to do would be not to say anything at all. What’s funny to one person may not be as humorous to someone else. Word’s hurt, because everyone has feelings and emotions. You always have to watch out for people though, because they can talk about you behind your back as well.
I would like to have students who are nice to me. Some students in class can be mean or stuck-up or just plain full of themselves. I don’t like people who have too much pride and are embarressed to show a little humility. If I had at least one nice sudent in class with me, then I would be able to make it through the day. I believe it takes kindness for others to be kind to you, but sometimes that’s not always the case.
I would like to have students that don’t get on my nerves. Sometimes kids mess with you, because they they’re bored or just want to be a class-clown. I can’t stand it when someone won’t leave me alone, and that means they have something against me. If someone keeps getting the best of you, then the best thing to do is to ignore them, and they’ll eventually go away. If that doesn’t work out, then you should tell an authority figure or press charges on that person for harrsassment.
