When The Village Collapses
When looking the other way goes horribly wrong.
Do you ever wonder why a true Saint stays close to prayer? Because they know that no matter what happens in the world or what type of tragedies we experience- the village will never be rebuilt. A lot of us can point to particular Saints in our communities nationwide. The Saint knows that the prophecy of the Bible shall be fulfilled exactly as it is written. The Saint is a realist! Often ridiculed for standing on conviction! But the glory of the Saint is knowing that all hope is lost- in turn, the Saint receives the glory and favor of the Lord for simply attempting to rebuild the village that can’t be rebuilt! All along knowing that things will get worse and even unrecognizable before the end- before HE returns!
If we are to continuously trumpet that we are the greatest nation on earth, then why do we not out-educate countries much smaller than the United States? Let’s see- in most states we’ve done away with Pre-K, effectively stripping our school systems of their resources, while buying bigger guns, intimidating the world with our might! Now we’re down to teachers in certain districts in Pennsylvania working for free! Even the arts are being dwindled out of most schools! So where do we go? The children continue to suffer! While we as adults continue to lay the blame at their feet. The argument of prayer being taken out of the school systems being society’s problem, is an old and tired argument! We as adults can’t continue to call our children immature when we’re sitting at the top doing immature, vile and nasty things!
The unthinkable has transpired right under our noses as soon as the dollar sign became our status symbol. All across the board we have problems bigger than Russia, China and Iran threatening us daily! Our problems lie in the faulty institutions that we rely on; namely our schools and our churches! No longer are our issues black and white- throw the racial trip out the door! We have a humanity problem! Right in our own back yards!
And the commentary always turns to forgiveness. Forgiveness is always in order when warranted, but after one indiscretion, going on to multiple indiscretions of the highest order is unacceptable in any rational society. Where do we draw the line? We cant continue to act as if the Penn State scandal is an isolated incidence while continuing to bash Jerry Sandusky; while others with greater offenses slide through the cracks continuing to thrive under the guise of being rehabilitated- there is no cure for pedophilia! We must pay close attention to our history and safeguard our children at all costs, considering that the very ones we’ve entrusted for the well being of our children are preying on them! Will it come to a point where our educators will educate and it’s fine that they can touch our children inappropriately? Will it come to pass where it’s alright for your pastor to minister to your children while touching them inappropriately? If Jerry Sandusky is about to meet the hangman at the gallows, shouldn’t the newly crowned King in Atlanta, Ga. have to meet his hangman as well? I pray for the return of sanity in some form or fashion, but I tend to agree with certain Saints in my community when they say, “No need to get violent, I understand your pain. But this will not be rectified until HE returns with fire-breathing horses on his golden chariot.”
