Why are Women Deprived of Education?

Education for all is the slogan goal and objective in the modern times, then why should women be deprived of learning to read and write?

So many girls schools have been burnt’

This news disturbs me greatly.Where are we in this world as a nation?Our sacred saying is ‘learn even if you have to go to China’, ‘educate a woman and you educate a tribe’. Then why burn down centres of study and knowledge.

Education state and religion are coming together in the present world of learning and teaching. We need to revise our curriculum and syllabi.

There are many countries in the world where women are contributing to a great extent to the promotion of awareness in society.

‘Burning a school or a library is a destructive act. It is not the answer to the problem of women education.The method of learning and teaching for women needs to be revised.perhaps women teachers should teach all women.This means more women to go for higher education becoming doctors scientists teachers and researchers.

The question is why should the infra structure be destroyed? I found a huge iron gate blocking my way at my alma mater when I went to revisit my place of learning. I was told to make an appointment first. I was also told that all that was due to a recent mob attack which burnt down part of the entrance and two front rooms of the school. I was very sorry to hear that.
