Why Do Kids Cheat in School?

Just Some Of My Thought on This Topic.

I think it is sad how so many students say they are good and follow the rules but in the end a lot of them cheat, steal, and lie. The statistics of it all are also very shocking. A majority of High School students admit to have stolen something at some point in there life but they still think they are good.

With cheating in school, its useless. The whole point of taking a test is to make sure you understand what is being taught. If you cheat on the test you will not have achieved any knowledge from sitting in class. This is why it is important to sit  in class and learn and do your work on your own. Cheating may make your grade get better but it doesn’t help you understand anything.

I also like how one person said “We need to create classrooms where learning takes on more importance then having the right answer.” I think this is why students are pushed into cheating. They feel that they have to keep there grades up so they decide that the only way of doing that is to teach. Students shouldn’t have to worry about there grade but more worry about if they understand what the teacher is teaching and if they don’t get something they need to go get help.

So really I don’t think it is right for students to steal, lie, and cheat. Although that is what I think I can see how hard it can be for some students to keep there grades up and the only way that see to get there grades up is to cheat. I think that students need to ask for help instead of simply resorting to cheating.
