Why Students Should be Required to Wear Uniforms

Many educators suggest that all students should be required to wear uniforms for elementary, middle, and high school. As much as students disagree, because they will lose their individuality and status of the peers, I think wearing uniforms is a good idea.

Parents spend unnecessary money on clothing for their children. Poorer families will suffer even more, as they’ll have to spend more money on clothes for their children than the money they earn. By wearing uniforms, students and parents alike prevents stress and fuss over money.

Not only do the students save money, they also save time. When students wake up, they usually have to spend a considerable amount of time figuring out what to wear. Doing so may cause possibilities of lateness, and definitively time wasted that shouldn’t be. When uniforms are required to for school, students can sleep later than usual, as their clothes for school are always ready to be worn, and no time is wasted deciding what to wear.

There are students who wear sloppy clothing. Soon enough, that sloppiness they wear will affect their education, making it sloppy as well because they are too relaxed. Later on, they will have disrespect for their teachers, school, and activities. When you are required to wear a uniform, everyone remains in school spirit, and will be alert and efficient at classes as the uniforms are neat, not sloppy.

As you can see, there are several good reasons why students should be required to wear uniforms. It improves not only education and the students mind, but also saves time and money, as well as preventing stress for poorer families.
