I think there is a double standard,and thank you for calling attention to it, maybe people will wake up.people are people, race is only a factor because people have made it one, I think racism is wrong no matter whether it’s the blacks,whites,asians,latinos arabs or other race doing it. racism=hate no matter how its cut, but at the same time I don’t believe being proud of someones race is grounds to be called a racist either, the racism comes about when people start putting down the other races or calling them inferior.Thanks again for the article

i don’t think its so much that ‘only whites can be racist’. surely, you understand that by being the overwhelming majority in most parts of the US, ‘white day’ is basically every day. white history month? well, your average high school US history class teaches mostly the history of white settlers in this continent. and what about washington’s birthday (president’s day), and columbus day?

i think much of your complaints are misguided because you don’t realize that whites, being the statistical majority here, already have all of these things. only by seeing white as the default and not making white an ethnic category too can you fail to see this.

of course, everyone can be racist, and people of all colours are. i really don’t think anyone is doubting that, and i think you’d be hard pressed to find many people that seriously entertain such notions.

I think I’m just tired of race…. I married a man who happens to be part asian, just part. For years, I’ve had to hear comments from his family about how whites don’t have any sense of community, don’t have strong family bonds… I grew up not particularly seeing color and certainly not using it as a litmus test to choose who I spent my time with. There’s just so much more to a person than the color of their skin. My husband tells me that it’s very difficult to have people make decisions about you before you’ve opened your mouth. Recently, his sister called my husband and I racist after a discussion about illegal immigration. My husband and I feel that we need to protect our borders, especially after 9/11 and that’s it’s wrong to have people who need work, have to come across the border in dangerous situations, live in fear of being caught, have not medical insurance and basically have to “be a criminal”. If we need guest workers there should be a program in place to allow workers to come in legally, be screened, paid fairly, etc. Now we’re racist and she and her husband aren’t speaking to us. I used to think it was so cool that my children had such a rich, diverse cultural heritage – now I just feel punished for the color of my skin.

Calling all white people racist is like saying all asians speak Chinese. It’s just not true, That is Stereotyping. And stereotyping is pretty much the core of racism.

I read the article I am not sure what you want. It sounds like a rich person demanding to shop in a cheap store. The door is always open. Yet is the door open in reverse? No you need money lots of it. Are you willing to erect a special Holiday that honors the White race? Have you contacted others who feel the same way? Is there a true need for further acknowledgement of White people in the world? Do you feel that you have suffered injustices? Has another person of the White race stood out in such a way to you that they too need a Holiday? If so you should work solely on that goal. However when you mentioned that certain groups of people can call you out of your name and it’s okay? You know in your heart this is not true. The people who do that in any compacity are wrong, wrong, wrong. There are rules in place about that sort of thing should you be truly offended by it. The trouble is some White people really do want to fit in with the other groups of people. Some truly don’t mind some of the language that comes with that. Some will move to those communities and some make a difference there. So it just depends on where your heart is. Do you really want a new special acknowledgement? Are you just mad at the other groups of people who seem to be seperating themselves? Are you just really mad at some people who have displayed plain bad manners toward you?

I think that if there was a college fund that only gave white people scholarships, white pride month, etc. it would be considered racist because whites are the majority in America.

It’s sort of like the funds that are giving black people scholarships aren’t seen as racist because maybe overall less black people go to college, in general they are poorer, blacks are minority, the funds and all those programs are kind of helping them emerge into society.

We need to have white college to send our poor white children to college lets call the NAACP and tell tem to stop discriminating against whites. Another thing is why are whites white and blacks African Americans. Should we refer to whites as Euro-Americans. I thought an American was just that an American. Funny thing if you are African American here, would you be an American Afro in Africa.

I hate to be anonymous too but… There is definitely a problem here. We are afraid to speak out and let anyone know our name because it could come back to bite us. It is ashame that freedom of speech is for everyone except the white people. Not everyone who is white was a slave owner but that is what is implied. Im tired of racism on all accounts. To me people are people. But there is alot of reverse discrimination in the work place now and can I speak out? If I did what would happen. I am SO on board with this site’s ideals.I,for one am
Totally Sick & Tired of the Double Standard of this nation
when it comes to race.For instance,like the name calling

and cracker as it is for me to call a black person the ‘N’ word,

History of slavery and racist segregation we experienced.
Today,apart from the slavery tragedy,much of black America are
no different.
I used to have such a high,pedestal regard for black America,
what with all the Great contributions they gave us and their
History of courage.Besides,I Really Love black women.And
some of America’s Greatest Heroes have been and are black.BUT-
in today’s society,that pedestal has been destroyed,though,I’m
always going to have some Positive Regards for black people.
Like us,not all are bad.It’s only that alot of them live by

First of, I am Mexican-American. I totally agree with your comments. You should be proud to be who you are. If you are white, be proud. I don’t see anything racist with that. I don’t think racism is limited to “white” people. Anyone can be guilty of racism. We should all be proud of where we came from (even if you are white). NV, you are correct on every level.
My only suggestion would be to be proud of be of “French”, “British”, “German” or whatever decent as opposed to being proud to be “White”. But that’s just my opinion. If you want to proud to white, then by all means, be proud. I’ll back you up on your pride regardless of the fact that I’m Mexican-American. YOU ARE NOT RACIST for being proud of what you are. I lost my vision when I was 5 years old. I remember what lakes and streams and large parks with big trees look like. Now, I can hear the streams and wind through the leaves but can’t see them. My best friend and I love to go for walks together. It has never occured to me to ask her what color her skin is, perhaps I will. I speak to people and make determinations based upon their character, I have no other way to make a decision about what kind of person I believe they are. Perhaps things would be different if we were all born with only 4 senses, and sight wasn’t one of them. I’m blind, but perhaps it is I who is the lucky one, because in my world, racism doesn’t exist because it simply cannot. I guess what you see depends mainly on what you look for, and I can only see with my intuition and interpretation of the persons character they present to me. I have no idea what color the people are that I interact with everyday. Perhaps I should ask those people that I enjoy the company of what color their skin is? Should I question the people as to what color their skin is that upset me? Or, should I beg that anyone that reads my words learn to speak to people as if they are in a dark room and can’t see the person they speak with, but communicate with the soul of the person, you have that choice but I do not. Watch your thoughts, they lead to your words…watch your words, they lead to your actions…watch your actions they lead to your habits…watch your habits they lead to your character…watch your character as it becomes your destiny. Good luck to anyone that attempts to make a determination as to who someone is based on their color, it can not be done.

I’m 19 years old and have been institutionalized since my parents died in an accident 4 years ago. Should I apply to the United Negro College Fund and find out if I qualify? Should I join a latino dating service? What do I say if I’m accepted to both? What do I say if I’m rejected at both? Do I ask they if I was rejected because of the color of my skin? If so, perhaps I will ask them what color my skin is and why I don’t qualify, because in my world color doesn’t exist because IT CAN’T!

Personally I am so tired of hearing about this subject. How long has it been since MLK? You would think that people would be able to get over this by now. There are no blacks around that have been slaves and no whites that have owned any, so why is it that blacks believe whites owe them something? I did nothing to the black community to make them look down on me. I do believe that blacks are more racist, only because what their ancestors went through but thats not how things are now and people need to change. We are all the same no matter what the color of you’re skin or where your ancestors are from. We need to remember that we are all americans and if we are going to suceed as a country we need to come together and forget about something as petty as skin color.

i’m white and i live in south texas where whites are the minority and hispanics are the majority. yes there are still some white people here that are racist, but i have to say that the hispanics are much more racist, and most are perfectly ok with admitting that. most of the culture here is hispanic; we get out of school for the Fiesta parade, and many billboards and signs are in Spanish. but still even here, white people wouldn’t be allowed to have a “white club” or anything like that, but isn’t it the same situation where blacks and hispanics are allowed their clubs??

and no, for all the people who are saying white people are whining because we think we aren’t getting enough rights… no, we are just stating a fact that racism cuts both ways. and in my opinion from what i’ve seen, nowadays white people can face more prejudice than other races.

Television is geared toward whites, there are very few black shows on tv that stay long. When you see blacks on public stations ABC CBS Fox, the show is cops, maury or a judge show. White people are not the only racists. I know this just based on personal experience. I’m a mutt: Mexican father and white (Scottish,Irish,Welsh) mother. I’ve never been caught up in joining ethnic clubs or asking people what they are. Only a few times have people ever asked me what I am and I simply respond by saying “You shouldn’t think of the world that way by asking those questions.” and then they shut up. Anyway, back to my point. Full blooded mexicans/latinos/hispanics, whatever seem to know who isn’t “one of them”. I dunno what it is but they seem to sniff out anyone who isn’t fully “one of them”. They can just tell I guess. I’m only a half breed and every hispanic/latino I’ve ever come across, worked with, etc. thought I was white. Technically they are correct. Bottom line is even though I’m of hispanic heritage I don’t get treated the same as a full blood/thoroughbred. I don’t know if it’s because of the way I dress or if my skin is not the right tone or what. A few years ago I went to a super bowl party at a restaurant with some friends. This was in an area where the demographics are roughly 50% white and 50% hispanic/latino. People of different races and ethnicities always frequented this restaurant. It was all-you-can eat buffet so everybody was constantly going to the buffet table to get food. As is tradition for Super Bowl parties, fans come sporting jerseys of not just the participating teams but any team including the one they support. I was wearing my team’s (not in the super bowl) jersey but that’s beside the point. It was customized with my last name on the back. Mind you I have a spanish last name which most hispanics have. As I was at the table getting food I overheard some comments not about my team but towards me and my family name. I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw a group of what appeared to be a table of hispanic men. I heard one of them say “what’s up with your last name if you’re white? Or are you latino or a white boy or what?!”

I was aware of what was said but simply ignored the remarks, got my food and went back to my table with my friends who are white, brown, japanese, candy stripe and every other flavor under the sun. That was the only remark made and nobody from that table ever said anything else. They didn’t even approach me. This doesn’t really seem like I was a victim of racism but I would say that this incident would affirm my belief in the fact that racists come in every color, size shape and form.

One more thing! On Nov.5,2008 in philadelphia PA there were 2 BLACK PANTHER members outside the polling center. One had a billy club, they were purposely intimidating white voters! Most of you probably haven;t heard of this! BECAUSE IT WAS BARELY TOUCHED BY THE NEWS! But i guarantee you had those BLACK PANTHERS been KKK or neo-nazis it would of been on every channel and stayed there for a week! Its ridiculous! Keep this in mind “minorities”(even though you aren’t really the minority anymore) ever since the election the sale of guns and assault weapons went up 500% and most of those are bein sold to white men! think about that!

Everyone is racist, it is a human condition. Racism is assuming knowledge of someone based on appearance: I once assumed a black man was American when I was lost in a Paris subway, I judged him based on the color of his skin-that makes me a racist. I don’t assume I am smarter, stronger ethically or morally superior than anyone else, yet sometimes I slip and make judgments about others based on appearance; when I do this I am not always aware of it, but when I become aware of it I endeavor to make amends and not repeat that behavior.
What I am not is a bigot; someone who thinks they are superior to another human being based on their culture or race.
I share the complexion and sex of a lot of evil bastards; Hitler, Stalin, Custer these people committed crimes several years before I was born and I acknowledge that people of color are still feeling the results of the crimes that these evil pricks committed on their victims’’ ancestors, but it was not me that committed these crimes, and I will not be goaded into a reactionary bigoted response, as I have no reason to feel an guilt for those past crimes.

Part of the problem with racism is because of people like Dm. “The oppressor cannot accuse the one he is oppressing of racism. The resentment and prejudice that minorities feel towards whites is a reaction to white racism. Therefore, someone who is not white cannot be racist.” Nice logic buddy, you’re a real intellect. First off, I don’t know if you noticed, but none of the whites who enslaved blacks are alive today, and none of the blacks who were enslaved are alive today. Secondly, If you ever read a dictionary in your life, you’d realize the definition of racism states that racism is “discrimination based on the belief that some races are by nature superior.” So, as you can see, the definition is not specific to any particular race which means someone who is not white can absolutely be racist. As with a white person calling a black person, for example, a junglebunny is unnecessary, so is a black person calling a white person a honky. Either person could just as easily called the other a fool or an idiot, but no, they have decided to use words with racist connotations – and that’s why they, be that person white or black, used them. Also, how is setting aside scholarships, grants, “and certain government jobs” a way of “leveling the playing field”? Anybody is perfectly capable of obtaining a scholarship or grant regardless of their race, despite what you think. Having special funds for minorities is totally unnecessary these days. In the 19th century, when blacks and other minorities truly were opressed it would have been necessary, but not today. Let this help some of you. I have done genealogy for many years and have found out long ago that there were black slave owners as well as white. Black slave owners also owned white slaves. Most people’s conception of slavery in this country has been biased by our school system and the lies and propeganda that were spread since Lincoln’s time. “A good reason to have a war and a shift in money power aye?” Most blacks in this country were not brought here from Africa. Nor were all of them slaves. I have property deeds and land grants on free blacks from as far back as the 1600s. A lot of them were also educated and merchants in the (oh my God) south. If the issue of slavery is what is causing so many of you to be racist then you can stop now. This had nothing to do with black or white when it was law to have slaves. Long after man was supposedly free he could still put his wife and children into a form of slavery to pay off a debt. So chew on that one a while.

Maybe the collective effect of individuals will lead the world in a positive direction someday, but for now, there are problems that we have to deal with as they are, and they will be here for a long time. You might make a positive difference with one person, but then there are all the other people you will have to deal with during your life, and it will be the same thing over and over again. It can suck, just like it can suck to have to pay bills every month. Some people are going to hate you by default. it is just a fact of life, and sometimes you need to stand up for yourself, and other times it\\\’s better to just bite your tongue and let it go.

racism will always exists as long as we give special privileges to any social or racial group. We end up offending one group because the other is getting a privilege that they can’t have . Back in the 1960s we needed to help the poor and uneducated to over come some of the problems that go along with where they live. Today we have many more opportunity’s for all to get a good education no matter what their ethnicity is. So my question is so what purpose does it give to have these special education programs, for instance in the 1960s the U.S. government had to force Alabama to allow a black student into their school. Yet today ( which draws a racial tension) We have a all black college, or we have the national Negro fund. If this is not racial what is.

And how many people here know American History? The first slaves in America were probably the Native Americans, and then as settlement developed the first migrated slaves were actually…..Hold on……Wait for it….WHITE!!!. Yes an indentured servant is a slave. The Irish were primarily the first slaves migrated to America. Then it was found that cheaper slaves could be bought in Africa where their own tribal brethren sold them to America.

The difference between the Irish slave descendants and the African salve descendants is that the Irish ones stopped bitching about it and decided to become Americans.

Today it isn’t just slave descendants of Africa that holding onto the hate and anger of the slavery, but people who are not slave descendants also join in.

It is in my opinion that groups like the NAACP keep telling black Americans that they can\’t get anywhere in life and that whitey is the reason for that. It is black Americans that pervert the message of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and get offended when white Americans look at him as a hero for America.

You think slavery is over, but it isn’t. Human Trafficking is slavery with another name. The difference is that it is illegal and criminals of all colors are the ones doing it today. It isn’t a predominately white occupation. They sell people for sex, and other work. It is a huge shame that we are dealing with a slavery system that doesn\’t exist in America as a legal way of life anymore when Human trafficking is real. These people that are bought and sold are of all colors too. Many from Russia, and other oppressed white nations where people are trying to get out and get sold and taken based on false promises.

I have some more history for you. Black people were land owners in America. Black people owned slaves (yes black slaves) in America. Black people fought in the Revolutionary War. Black people have concurred many obstacles in America.

I say unto all people of America. don\’t let the things that happened in Americas past be forgotten, but most importantly don\’t EVER let the past hold you down and believe that ANYONE owes you anything.

Don\’t sneer at the black people that have made it. Don\’t tell them they are acting white and have forgotten their roots. They haven\’t forgotten they just made a decision to not let it hold them back, hold them down and then blame white people for their decisions.

The NAACP can\’t exist if the black people in America get over the ridiculous notion that white America owes them something for being black because they owned slaves. When black Americans push past this and hold themselves accountable for their own actions and decisions then the black Americans will be Americans.

My best friend told me he was Mexican, so I asked him where he was born he said Texas. I then proceeded to tell him he was American.

Only in America (the melting pot) do we refer to ourselves as African, Mexican, Asian, Vietnamese, Irish, German, or the like. If we are born here or legally become citizens of this great nation then we should call ourselves American.

In Germany they do not have Citizens of American descent that say they are American. If they are citizens of Germany they are German. If they are citizens of England they are English. It can keep going.

I say remember and research the history of our nation. It is full of rich and diverse facts. Some of them are not pretty and many are great. We as a Nation need to learn from our mistakes as Americans in total and learn to be Americans.

One thing that makes us unique is the diverse cultures we have here. Let us share those cultures and allow others, no matter what color to learn them as well. Do not be offended fit hey wish to learn and participate or adopt our customs. Be proud that you could spread those customs to others.

I grew up in California. When I went to school Latin Americans were the majority. I didn’t put them down, nor they me. I hung out with them, I learned some great customs, and participated in being a chambelan for a quinceanera. My girlfriend and I planned a B-B-Q for our families despite that her family didn’t speak English well, and mine didn’t speak Spanish. It wasn’t about that. It was a matter of getting together and sharing time with our families.

Racism is probably the dumbest thing to exist because of one idea. The idea that we are all HUMAN. Color variances exist in all of God\’s creatures, why should they not exist in Humans? Anytime a question asks me what Race I am I put other and write Human. If I don\’t have that option then I put decline to respond. Humans are the race, so let us have Human pride and be proud to be Human together.

As far as color. I am not white. I checked at the paint department at Home Depot. The color it said I was for the pad of my finger was Rum Spice.It is a reddish color. Also other parts of my skin (epidermis) are other colors. The only things white I have is the same as any other Human. The whites of my eyes, the white of my teeth, and the white of my bones (assumed since I haven\’t seen one of my bones sticking out of my body)

There are bad seeds in all colors of humanity and if you aren’t careful then those people will suck you into their ignorance. Some organizations keep these problems alive in the hearts and minds of Americans because if they didn’t the organization (like the NAACP) would no longer exist because no-one would need them anymore. Don\’t let people or organizations tell you that you can\’t do something because of the color of your skin.

The Asians in America are a group of people to look up to. They have kept their culture alive, they have been through enslavement themselves, and encampments during WWII Japanese Internment Camps (Not all of them were Japanese) I don\’t hear them complain, but I see their actions. They try to raise intelligent, hard working children while keeping their culture. They share their culture. They start and own many businesses. They don\’t complain that they have been treated unfairly they let their actions speak for them. There are always lots of exceptions to the rule, but as a group these qualities stick out. We can learn from those qualities.

Thumb your nose at racism. Make your own choices, Be Human Americans, and share ourselves with other Human Americans.

If there are anyone here that see my point of view on being Human, taking responsibility for your own actions and decisions, and being American then I give full permission to pass it on.

I have posted my real name because I am not afraid to speak on the things I have. Let us quit being afraid and come together. There are many other issues plaguing America right now. The main one is that our Government is stripping our freedoms away at an alarming rate. The very freedoms our ancestors fought for throughout the history of America.

Let us have equality and stop expecting hand outs.
The government officials need to realize that they work for the American people, not the other way around. Let us hire the people that will support the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The ones that aren’t looking to take all of our money and control all of our lives. When they control everything then we will no longer be America. We will be just like any other oppressed nation, who controls their people. Or tries to.

Don\’t hire scum bags to Washington DC. You wouldn’t hire one in your own business so don’t do it for the country. Vote and vote for people that are actually wanting to do right by America and its people. Don\’t vote for those that are only after being greedy and boosting their egos, or pocket books. Stop Cronyism. Look at our history and know that people have tried these things before that our Government is doing and it hurt America. It did not help America.

The only reason non whites call whites racist is to have leverage on them to get PAID!!! that’s their only care in the world. While I am here I might as well give a history lesson. Anthony Johnsn was a Virginian who went to court in 1721 to argue that John Caster, a black male was legally owed by Anthony. In short, the courts agreed and the first LEGALLY OWED person in america was born. Oooh yeah, Anthony Johnson was BLACK!!!
A bunch of white slavers sailed to Africa to buy slaves. Sooo where did the black slaves come from? One black tribe invaded and enslaved other weaker tribes and then turned around and sold them to whites by the sea ports. Whites are guilty as sin here, but what about the blacks? The question you need to ask yourself, “which is the greater crime against humanity, buying a slave, or selling your fellow man into slavery???”
600,000 white union soldiers died in the civil war to GIVE freedom to black slaves. 38,000 black soldiers also died. As I Recall, Abraham Lincoln was a Republican too, hmmm. Whites also fought to install the 14 amendment.
I personally have family that fought against all forms of oppression in america all the way back to the battle of Cowpens 1/17/1781 South Carolina, a couple more died in the civil war aswell.
So as far as im concerned, black americans owe my family a GODDAMN THANK YOU!!!

I really wish I had not posted on this forum at all. I realize now that the majority of people in this forum from all races involved are not trying to be rational or intelligent. My commnets stick out like a sore thumb in this forum. I am trying to get people to see unity in our country and that we should become Americans who respect one another and can see past the differences of color altogether.

My slogan is “100% Human American”. My dream is that all Americans adopt that attitude and realize that all Human Americans are equal not just because the law says so, but because we all have the opportunity to be great, or not depending on our actions. Even the poorest person in America could become great with effort. Support or no support many people do great things in our country everyday. People of all colors. On the other end of the spectrum are those that don’t do anything and expect to recieve hand outs for no effort.

I don’t subscribe to the idea of white, black, brown, red or any other color Power. If I were to get a racial term Power tattoo it would be Human Power!

I am not clamoring for European American day, or any of the German, Irish, Italian, Spanish, English, French, etc Day. Those go against the very nature of what I am talking about. True American Holidays include the following to me.

Independence Day
(We wouldn’t be a country without it)

President’s Day
(even though it is supposed to be for Washington and Lincoln specifically it is better to be president’s day as it celebrates the idea of President-hood. Being president isn’t an easy job no matter their beliefs or what schmuck we have hired to be that person. The thing is we are also celebrating the idea that we vote for our leaders and whatever schmuck we get is because of our inability to hire quality presidents.)

Memorial Day
(this is for all the Veterans who have fought in America’s Wars so that we can appreciate their sacrifice and appreciate that we can have debates and freedom of speech, and any of the multitude of other rights we often take for granted.)

Martin Luther King Jr Day
(I believe that the contributions of this great American have helped immensley to get Americans toward a position of being Human Americans. I personally admire that he was a non-violent activist who got results despite the danger he put himself in, and the hatred he experienced toward him. His dream was great and he died for it. Who else is willing to die for their beliefs? Are those beliefs good ones? Are your actions violent in nature? This day isn’t just for the man, but all the people that stood beside him, for the Rosa Parks’ in the world who helped the movement, for the folks who did silent sit-in protests. I believe these non-violent acts spoke loud and clear what the message was.

“I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.”

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.-

While that is only a small excerpt that does not fully do the speech justice, I say unto you when will we come to the table of brotherhood and treat all of mankind equal in America? Let us set aside our differences so we can embrace each other in common humanity.

Thanksgiving
(despite this being between white Pilgrims and Native Americans, who got the shaft later in history, the premise of Thanksgiving is a good one. While primarily it is families coming together to give thanks for what they have, I think we should extend the olive branch of Thanksgiving to friends, neighbors, and within reason enemies, so long as they are not hostile.)
What if we had a Thanksgiving where people of all colors came together to be humans together at the same table? I think that would be a true spirit of Thanksgiving.

I pray for all of you who harbor hate in your hearts, and choose not to see past color. Some of you have not had unfair treatment, but know the stories of unfair treatment and have taken them as your own. Some of you have had unfair treatment and have chosen to take anger instead of spreading a message of mankind and rising above the unfair treatment. I dare say though that most American people (no matter what color) do not know what oppression means today. Not even I. Some of our recent immigrants know, but Americans don’t really know. Our elders know, but we have moved past that time. Rare is it today that people are being beaten, hanged, tarred and feathered, or some other torutre or death due to color. Are there some psychopaths out there? yes, but they do not speak for all people of similar color. Are there gangs from each color of human? yes, but again they do not speak for all of similar color.

Share the dream, live the dream, work hard, rise above the racism as racism is against all humans, If you are human of any color be proud to be Human, if you are American be proud to be American. If you don’t want to live in America find a way to move out. You aren’t making ianything better by giving advantge to one color of human over another. Asians represent more and more in college now than white people, are you going to attack the asians when they overcome white people? Why not let hard work in school play merit to admissions. Teach your kids to do well in school and that they will have to work hard to earn a living in this country, not because of the color of their skin, but because that is the American way. There should not be handouts. Help in natural disater emergencies is a good idea that should be planned for in each state (not the federal government) help in finances should be done by charity organziations who raise money for that. I support the idea of the United Negro College Fund becuase it is not a government run program. There could be Irish American funds for all I know or care, but I would rather see a larger predominence of college fcahrities for students of all colors who do well in school but are poverty stricken and cannot afford to go to college and would otherwise not have gone because of the poverty. I am sure they exist, but what if we were to start the Human American College Fund? I think it would be a better idea.

Those are my ideas, I am sure the ignorant will read this and be angry because i am saying to stop being angry and take responsibility for your own life and make a true difference in America without changing the good laws we have, just ensuring that they apply to everyone equally.

There are many that don’t truly want equality because that would mean losing the hand outs, or having to take responsibility for their own actions instead of conveniently pointing the finger somewhere else. It is a scary idea to be honest with yourself and ask, did I give everything of myself to succeed today? not even I can say that everyday, but I try to do my best. If you realize that perfection is journey that you will never reach the destination then you will be far better off for doing your best everyday than being distraught because you don’t have what you want when you did not try.
