Also I agree with you about the stereotype, particularly through film. As I went to New York last summer and really wanted to go visit china town and was highly disappointed with it. I was expecting the red lights hanging up and decorations like you see in the films and guess what?It had nothing, was very quiet and there were hardly any restaurants open!
