Matriarchy in Native Mexico
by The world is structured in such a way that men rule the affairs of men and women, but in a native Mexican Community, the women dictate all affairs of men and women.
They have a say in almost evThe erything that takes place in their community. Men take a back seat and their roles are literally reduced to a sexual gratification function which is as much as possible, intended to serve the pleasure of the women. The degree of male invisibility is shocking. For example, in parties arranged in the communities, the people you see wielding power are the women. Men are picked to dance with women and not vice versa!
A native community in Mexico that remained intact from the Spanish colonial influences is living in a wold that could only be dreamed about by other male dominated and oppressed women round the world. Among these Mexican Indian natives, women are the most visible and the most powerful sex recognized by the social order.
As a standard decided by the women themselves, beauty is measured by the physical size of a woman. The bigger the woman’s body, the more awesome she is regarded by the people around. Because most of the women strive to be beautiful by simply getting plumpy and fatty, their very sheer sizes have inadvertently increased on the aura of power they wield. So the women are not only physically bigger than their men, but they also have power and authority which interestingly adds to the obscurity of men. The belief that men are the bigger and stronger sex is shockingly lacking!
I know there is a tendency to get drunk with power whether you are a woman or man, but personally, I feel matriarchy is a social order that is more gentle to those being ruled by it and I still hope one day human beings will give the management of our society entirely to the women, but before we hurry there, there is need for some indepth study of this matriarchy case scenario of the Mexican Natives.
