Obama Administration and Racism

Eric Holder wants a discussion about racism – so let’s have it from a Caucasian point of view.

In the past week I saw more evidence of the ugly spectre of racism raising its ugly head. In the past the accusation of racism has been levelled at Caucasians, usually due to attitudes towards blacks and Middle Eastern types. No one can deny that in speech Caucasians can and do say things that deserve the title of racism. However, the same is true for the African-American, the Indian, the Middle-Eastern type, etc. etc. What is very true is that racism has been rearing its ugly head since the election of Barak Obama, but it is not so much racism on behalf of the Caucasians as it is racism perpetrated by the African-American.

Whilst acknowledging that there is a long way to go with regards to standards of education, and all of the other things that form the complaints of African-Americans I do think that there is a lot of reverse racism that has come into play since the election of Barak Obama as President. In fact there was reverse racism in play that caused his election. It is a reverse racism because the gloating makes it all too obvious that this particular election was about the colour of a man’s skin rather than the policies (or lack of policies) that he was bringing to the table. It is reverse racism because the Media itself did not do its job and did not vet properly the Obama policies. The journalists as a whole failed to note the trend towards Marxist-Socialism in Obama speeches. It also failed to objectively scrutinize the promises that had been made. The lack of objectivity has led to the election of an administration that is already showing signs of being one of the most corrupt in the recent history of the USA.

However, there is even more evidence of this reverse racism with the signing of the Porkulus Bill, as well as the proposed bailout of mortgagees facing foreclosure. Perhaps it is the involvement of ACORN that makes me think that there is something very racist about the bailout proposal, or at least very wrong when the police fail to act when ACORN break in to a house in Baltimore and declare that the house now belongs to them. This kind of thing makes people cringe and it also alarms the people who have been financially responsible with their debt management. It would seem that the situation that has caused this crisis is one involving a piece of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton Legislation that forced lenders to give money to low income borrowers so that they could purchase a house. The whole story seems to be quite involved, yet some of the issues break down to: (1) buyers willing to pay too high a price for a house; (2) low income earners borrowing over and above what they could afford to repay; (3) the manner in which the loans were repackaged. The last reason is the one that has caused the toxic debt.
