Racism

Every since I was young I’ve always wondered why there were some many negative people out there who only think about how much better this world would be without different races. It was a question that has been wondered throughout my family including my mother and grandmother. I happen to be African American and I’m proud to be African American. Ya, sometimes I feel like I’m the only weird one in the pack but, I’ve gotten use to it. As a matter of fact it is weird for me to be around other black people because I live in a small town. I’m use to seeing about 5 black people in just one year. If I took a trip to California or New York It would more than triple the amount of black people. Now the Big question comes, Why are we living in a world with Racists?

Turns out they’re not just in one spot they’re everywhere. Usually though no matter where you go if there is a racist you know it. The most painful thing to me to think about is simply the fact that there are actually groups that form because they’re against other races such as the Klu Klux Klan a.k.a KKK. Just thinking about people that HATE that much is just heart crushing. Just think about that for a moment is all I ask….devastating isn’t it? Not just groups though just people in general. Why? Why can’t people be seen the same way no matter what they were born looking like? I can’t stop asking that question; can you? Anyone can answer that question, the real question is why does it have to be that way? Even I can’t answer that question. It’s far to complex for me, family or friends. There’s only one way to figure this out…ask a racist, but no body’s going to do that right?

Something that seems to be bothering me is HOW are we living in a world with racists? Why are we putting up with being treated like this? No matter what your point of view on it, it all narrows down to the same question.There’s no denying that you’ve never thought about it before no one can. The thing is there is not anything we can do about it at this point. We’re to busy paying our bills, going to work, taking care of our kids and living life NO ONE has that as their main priority right?

The last question I know you must wonder about is WHY are there racists? My personal opinion is because there are just some people who are ignorant enough to think that people who are different shades or a different “Species”. Species are different kinds of ANIMALS not Human Beings. That is not only inappropriate but it’s hurtful. WE are just are normal as any other citizen. WHY are we treated differently? The answer remains the same. No one knows. It’s easy for any one to say that some people are just mean but, there’s a reason for them being “mean” though Right?
