Racism : Look Beyond Just Skin Colours
This is my thoughts about racism issues overall and why I feel that it is ridiculous to set our differences according to skin colours when we are all the same, Human.

Racism issues have always been around for years and even centuries. In every country, there are different historical stories of how racial inconveniences began and how it has become better or worst.
I was stricken with grief when I came across the latest news about Justice Keith Bardwell’s refusal to marry a couple just because the bride was white and the groom was black. Worst was when he admitted that he ban himself from marrying interracial couples because he believes that these practice may cause problems to the couples’ children.
Despite Bardwell’s title as ‘Justice’, I felt disgusted by Bardwell’s act of injustice and racism.
While the world is getting smaller with the advanced technologies we have at hand and at home, why do we still perform such revolting practice of racism to set our differences? In the end of the day when we look at each other, we are still the same, HUMAN. Human with different hairstyles, different skin colours, different languages, different cultures, and etcetera. Nevertheless when we put aside all these differences and look closely, we are of the same species that share the land with other species in this world, Human.
I do not have issues with other races. I enjoy learning different cultures and religions when I speak with people who does not share the same race as me. In fact, I find that other cultures and races have their good sides compare to my own race and likewise.
While I am a Chinese, my boyfriend is a Malay. We have been together for a long time and never bothered by our skin and racial difference. My parents and his parents accepted each other with an open arm because they were open minded. We and our family have learned that love is far more meaningful to focus petty issues like skin colours.
I do not believe in building such ‘fences’ to set differences between different races. It is just skin colours and there is nothing to be exaggerated about in life.
This is the 21st century and it is time for people to grow up and look forward to saving our sickly Mother Earth instead of wasting time creating racism issues among each other.
