Richard Wright The Greatest Novelist
Books.
Cover of The Outsider
I have always loved mind watering novels by Richard Wright. He is my favorite novelist.
Wright was an African American novelist who wrote about African Americans growing up down South during the Jim Crow law days. And also Chicago Illinois.
Wright’s books are horribly graphic, truthful and nakedly candid.
Not only did he write about African Americans and how they survived good and bad during the Jim Crow law days but he also wrote a lot about Communists otherwise known as the ‘Reds.’
My favorite novel by him titled, Black Boy, was an autobiography about him growing up in the deep South during the early through mid 1900s. It is a graphic tear jerker.
Another favorite book by him was titled, Native Son. It Takes place in Chicago Illinois on the south side in the year 1935. It is about a young black man who was poor and very naive. He got a job as a limo driver and accidently killed a girl. You can read the rest! Sad, but very interesting.
Other novels by him are The Outsider and The Long Dream, and many more!
Wright’s novels can be found at any book store.
Richard Wright, died in the year 1960. He left behind his graphic, prolific talent and his many fans.
