Terrorism and Asia

Terrorism is a term which has no need to be defined now. Everyone knows what it is and what tragedies it can cause. From a American bussinessman to an Indian common man everyone has been victimised by terrorism in the past and it keeps on coming to haunt them again and again.

It is obvious that the west thinks Asia is the factory of terrorists, which I admit is partially true. Asian countries such as Pakistan , Afganistan , Iraq , India , Srilanka have been the playground of these terrorists. Be it the hardcore muslim terror groups of Pakistan or the Tamil Tigers of Srilanka or the Maoists of India , there is always a helping hand behind which let the extrimists prosper.

For example

• The US made the taliban against the USSR.
• Pakistani agency ISI made Lasqar-e-Taiba and other groups against India
• Leftists supported Maoist Millitants in India.
• Indian Tamils supported the Tamil Tigers.

and the list goes on.

So to wipe out terrorism completely, there has to be a complete political desire worldwidewhich is at present missing. Pakistan is still using terror as a weapon against India . They still cover fire at the border to help the terrorists infiltrate into India. Most wanted terrorists like Daud Ibrahim still roam free in Pakistan.

So there is still need for full co-operation .
