The New Math of the Asian-American, Model Minority
by A basic, politically Christian-conservative, nuanced retrospect on Asian America’s presence and impact in the institute of post-secondary education.
These secular cathedrals/synagogues of insular communism/secularism, are indoctrinating future generations of yes-men (and women), almost giving me the creeps that in order for our hard-working “model minority” brethren to get even a mediocre-passing grade, they will have to respond in their multiple-choice, test question, “What is the biggest source of injustice in the world?,” with the following:
- A) America
- B) Christians
- C) Israel/ International Jewry
- D) Capitalism
- E) All of the above
It’s a tragic irony that for many of our parents/grandparents, fleeing from the war-torn, political turmoil that was Vietnam (post-Fall of Saigon), Korea (circa The Korean War, The Park Chung Hee/Gen. Chun Junta years), China (circa 1949-to-Tianneman Square), are now sending their own kids/grandkids to the same impoverished, Marxism that force the former to immigrate in the first place… except now, the faculty teaching their kids are probably defending their curriculum under the Orwellian newspeak, “multi-culturalism,” or even “Asian Values!” Yeah right…
Yet in more hind-sighted fairness, I am reminded by one Dr. James Dobson (!), that the main intent/reason for going to college is to expand your worldview, so as to possibly live life with a more adaptable, fuller life, through thick and thin, amidst life’s constant inconveniences and complexities, in spite of it all… also known as the current recession (possibly with God in mind, but that’s for another discussion)! Especially as someone who have acknowledged that one’s personal identity is not limited to career, relationship status, etc…, I understand that life is more than personal definition of the always (potentially) unpredictable externals, forever begging us the life question: what is the meaning/purpose to existence?
But going back to the subject on hand, I am also reminded of the sorry, worldview-limiting excuse for our standards of higher learning, who’s idea of expanding one’s horizons is by telling many of our common sense-trained, sometimes even suburban kids all of the (hypocritically) sanctimonious, aforementioned Leftist drivel, all the while under the delusional influence of mind-altering substances!*
*Unless of course, it’s the sober-minded, Judeo-Christian values that ironically, helps foment the kind of societal/fiscal infrastructure that even allows the luxuries of bashing God and America, a la The ubiquitous, mass-marketed (read: capitalist) Che Guevara T-shirt!
Methinks at this age, it’ll be best for both the FOB parents and their first born generation, to get their more well-rounded, educational cues from the likes of recovering university former Leftist radical-turned conservative activist, David Horowitz, as we enter into The Obama age of Asian America–a.k.a, the 2nd Carter Administration! I should know: my worst childhood experiences occurred from my birth year (circa 1976) to 1980!
And for someone like me, interested in the issue of politically-hypocritical standards of Internet freedom, i.e, Google.com, why do I find myself bemused by the irony of having one of the Yahoo! founders, Jerry Yang, wholeheartedly capitulating to the freedom-restricting demands of his People’s Republic of China business partners–all the while (possibly?) thumbing his nose to the then-Bush Administration’s requests to submit user client information over child porn usage (and possibly jihadist sites?)? ‘Don’t know about anyone here but, I wouldn’t prop up Yang as a finer example of a Asian-American, (role) model minority–given how he may have been well indoctrinated in all scholastically, anti-American-chic!
