U.s. Cultural Systems

The Cultural Differences Between Them and Us.

America is an invasion proselytizing paternal dominance with is lawn mower mentality at a country nearby.  The virus is said to corrupt with consumption of foreign traditions replacing them with American corporate logos as seduction aimed at brainwashing social, economic, political, and educational systems, -just some anti-American sediments that can be found at loveushateus.com.  A threat to one’s culture is a threat to one’s core identity.  Americans and American businesses that pursue the international market must operate with critical sensitivity to anti-Americanism.  Americans must not be stuck to their own ethnocentric prides when making presumptions that everyone in the world wants to live as an Americans.

The problem is an America society in a flux of worldly cultures that has acculturated with hundreds of other worldly customs.  For example, one will not find French fries at all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurants in China; nor can one find pineapple on Pizza in Italy. Here in America, an anything-goes society believes people can rise above cultural biases. Americans also believe they can change their statuses any time without regard to tradition; a nonconformity to tradition being America’s tradition. U.S. culture itself becomes less important than the democratic approach that permits its openness and participation.  As a result, the U.S is perceived to have little allegiance to its own values or to the relationship they foster with others.  Amit Guha Roy of United Arab Emirates wrote, “I do think that Americans are great people at heart, they just need to step out of their towns and cities, and realize the rest of the world does look at them differently –but they don’t look at us at all (loveushateus.com, 2011).” The fallacy within American thinking is that because other societies may want international relationships that they are willing to forgo thousands of years’ worth of tradition in place of American culture barely out of its infancy.  Americans should not presume nonconformity exits elsewhere, learning as much about others in respect to their cultures instead of trying to change it.

Direct spending on the world economy for US travelers impact more than 14 million jobs; generating $1.8 trillion for American economic growth. Knowing how economic cultural systems in the United States differ from other countries can enhance communication effectiveness when conducting business with other cultures.  The US economy is a market driven capitalist society affected by inflation, unemployment, and the economy of other cultures. The different economic systems elsewhere in the world include socialism, agrarianism, and barter nations.  Most adult Americans are aware of economic differences in that China’s economy is socialist, Cambodia is agrarian, or that Laos is a barter nation.  The mistake many Americans make is when they hold the false idea that two countries sharing a similar economic system share the same economic culture.  American business traveler Carl was one of those American’s. After a sneezing in a Tokyo restaurant “Many of the patrons gave me a dirty look…I then proceded to blow my nose, and some of the patrons got up and left.” Americans should not presume similar economic cultural existence because another country has a similar economic structure.
