2012: Who Gives a Crap?

We all the past year we have had the year 2012 rammed down our throats. Take a look at the Internet: It is full of all the doom and gloom of what is predicted to happen for us all-the end of mankind-on 21st December, 2012.

Turn the television on and you will see National Geographic, History Channel, Discovery Channel, mainstream television channels and news discussions on this particular date. Magazines and newspapers print articles and many people, including myself, have posted a couple of articles on websites such as Triond.

Gee, even Hollywood couldn’t ignore the hype and jumped straight on the bandwagon with their own version in an expensive movie.

All sadness and worry isn’t it? Well it is if you care to believe such things… Only part missing right about now is the fact our purple powered pop star we all either love or loathe, Prince, hasn’t come out with a re-worked version of his 1999 smash hit. Maybe he could stumble upon this article and consider it…?

Okay, so it could happen. Who are we to ignore the many prophecies of such things; possible events depicted in The Bible, by Nostradamus, The Egyptians and of course the centre of it all, The Ancient Mayan Civilisation.

So what we going to do?

Are we going to sit it out and look up to the skies and prey a big rock isn’t going to hit us, or hope that tidal wave suddenly becomes a ripple or that solar storm doesn’t take out our planet? Or are we going to just party like we don’t care?

In a way this is a “fun” and light hearted look at the imposing year of 2012 and the one particular date in December of that coming year.

The question I am going to ask you, as the reader, is to leave comments as to IF this was true, what will you be doing or what do you predict yourselves to be doing?

Will you be hiding? Burying yourselves deep underground? Will you be having your last and most favourite meal? Will you steal a Ferrari or other fancy car and drive the very automobile you always wanted to without worrying whether the police will catch you the next day? Will you ring up the credit card company and tell them to go f**k themselves for their money?

Or will you be making love to your beautiful partner guys in the hope that when the world does shake, you can boast you made the earth move for her and be truthful about it…?
