Aliens and Legend
On extraterrestrial and interdimensional life.
If extraterrestrial are real as many other people and I believe they have then would have to be much more advanced then we are. The question that often asked is weather or not they have come to visit us. The problem with this question is that people don’t realize that the real question is how long have they been visiting us.
We have legends going back thousands of years before the birth of Christianity that speaks of great beings that came from the sky. We called them gods and worshipped them. Many were crewel and destructive, some did there best to further our development. This is seen in every major religion since the dawn of man and the same can be said about the religions now.
The truth is that humans do not appear to be a natural occurrence on this world and we have thousands of legends that tell of other races beyond ours. I have a list of them and I can say that this is my belief not fact but the evidence that so many discount as musings of a primitive people might very well be fact. I think I will start with my favorite and work my way to the most prevalent.
Elves
I know what you’re thinking. Elves couldn’t be alien, they were magical beings but what is magic. If you took a handgun and traveled back to the early dark ages in Europe and shot someone everyone who witnessed it would believe that you have magic. Magic is science and technology that isn’t commonly known or seen in our world but the fact that they were said to be magic is not the only reason that I believe elves were alien.
Most legends speak of elves not dying, just leaving in great ships that sail across the ocean. That’s not just found in Tolkien’s work, it’s found in several legends in different parts of the world. Where do you think he got it? In the Norse mythology elves referred to the little people that lived in the world tree but the highest order of elves were equal to the god and some where even known as gods. This coupled with the mention of magic brings out the fact that they may have been alien.
I also remember that the hand drawn pictures of aliens included a humanoid looking alien with pointed ears. This belief isn’t limited to me. The Vulcan’s from Star Trek were originally going to be a much weirder alien but when the make-up failed they went with the pointed ears of a back-up alien race. The creature was renamed Vulcan but it remained basically the same the race was originally based on elves.
