Ancient Greek – Chimera
It has been brought to my attention many years ago that there was a mythological creature named "Chimera." I decided to write an article about the Chimera because I am fascinated with it.
Chimera
The Chimera was a mythological creature back in ancient Greek which was said to have a lions body, a snake as a tail, and a goat head sticking out of its back (2 heads.) The main reason I was fascinated about this creature (im a big mythology geek,) was because of the fact the snake was said to be able to shoot flames out of its mouth. In my opinion, this factor would be unbelievable, yet extremely cool to experience.
Background
The Chimera was a very feared creature in Ancient Greek, and killed many warriors who fought it. One day the hero known as “Bellerophon” along with another ancient greek creature called a “pegasus” worked together to finally defeat the mighty and feared Chimera.
Closing
To close this article, I would like to point out that people who are interested in Mythology (such as ancient creatures, and heros) should look into the books such as “Homers lilliad.” Homer was also another fascinating hero, and has a book about his adventures, as stated above. The book explains many of these creatures and talks about fights with them as well. Check it out if you are interested in the facts explained here.
Thank you!
