Armageddon 2013: Introduction- The Fall of a Nation
This is the introduction to a book that I am writing based upon the current state of the nation and the futuristic outlook of the coming apocalypse we shall soon face.
Since the end of the Second World War the United States has been the dominant nation, having the greatest influence on world politics until now. Since the mid 90’s the U.S. has been losing what power it has had on a financial level as all the major corporations have moved operations to the third world countries in an attempt to lower costs and provide maximum yield for those foreign co-ops and domestic purist who had taken interest and had invested their funds to promote growth.
It is now 2014; the United States had done something they had never thought possible. First, in 2008 the populace had elected the first African-American to lead the country. As with all incumbents there are issues and with this presidency there was no difference. There is always difficulty in reversing policies of prior political offices and only time and persistence will allow change to take place. And as we all know it helps to have a Congressional House that’s willing to back you.
As we remember President Hakeem Al Kahir was elected to office much to the surprise of the people. Kahir was born Benjamin Henry Jackson to an African- American father and a Saudi Arabia mother during prior to World War II. Upon taking office Kahir had made some drastic changes to policies made by former President Gregory H. Wilson whose office had allowed for big business to claim tax breaks that God would be envious of and discontinued the need for domestic oil exploration, leaving the people responsible for carrying the debt of the nation.
During Wilson’s term of office the majority of jobs shifted to overseas manufacturing which allowed those holding stock to achieve overwhelming gains. But to the dismay those corporate giants continued to shift those jobs to an international forefront leaving those on the domestic scene jobless. This was what was to become known as “The New World Order” which would be a precursor to what would be Armageddon or World War III. The war as we will call it would not be fought in a conventional manner. However, the citizens of this country would rise up in a massive revolt as International factions continued to wage an economy movement that would lead this country into bankruptcy.
Prior to the 2012 election President Kahir had made a promise to the people that he would have 33,000 troops back home from the battlefields in the Middle East and Afghanistan and by doing so he had sealed his chance for winning the position for a second term. However the one thing he hadn’t taken into consideration was the lack of jobs that the soldiers would be returning too. For some the jobs they had left would still be there and for others their jobs had been sent overseas or no longer existed due to companies falling to the wayside.
