December 2012: Earth’s Final Days According to the Mayans

Are we heading for the Earth’s final days or what is commonly called Doomsday on December 21, 2012? According to the Mayan people and some other cultures the answer is yes. How did the Mayan come about with an exact date for the end of times? Amazingly they did it by the use of astronomy. The Mayans believed that about every 5100 years we leave one age and enter into another age. The past few ages according to the Maya were destroyed by disasters on the Earth and it is predicted by them that this age will end in disaster too on December 21, 2012. Perhaps the most amazing discovery about this time line is that this will be the exact date that our sun lines up with the center of the Milky Way. This is an event that only occurs every 26,000 years and the Mayan people thought that this would signify the end of the current age. It wasn’t until very recently that this information was found out and it is truly remarkable that the Mayans were able to acquire this information thousands of years ago.
Besides the Mayan people there are other cultures around the world that place the end of times on 2012. The Hopi Indians have their Fourth World ending and the Fifth beginning on this date. The I-Ching shows a timeline that ends abruptly on December 21, 2012. Some psychics have been rumored to see this date as a global catastrophe including Nostradamus, Merlin and Edgar Cayce.
So will the world come to an end on 2012? One thing is for sure: only time will tell. I don’t think we really need to worry over this specific date though, we should be more concerned about curing our other problems. This date will probably come to pass but the disaster scenario is definitely a possibility in the future if we do not change our ways.

How truely sad that our societies have plummented to such an extent that they no longer believe in the metaphysical world, or believe their’s anything other than what mainstream writers, educational systems, the media, or thier neighbors believe in. If people would just try and keep an open mind, and question how or why the systems of things have evolved to where they are now. Oh now…they might miss thier favorite show, sports game, function, or whatever they do to keep them so occupied to where they don’t even think about “WHY?” If I may….I would like to suggest a couple of authors that have taken the time to research these topics in great depth and conviction.
