Dont Drink The Kool-aid

I can never seem to understand how people think that the increase in our government can be good for us.  The more we give to the government the more control they have over our lives.  Man in inherently evil.  So even in a utopian society, it will only last as long as a decent leader is in charge.  Watch out for the next leader!  I digress.  The more we are taxed the less individual freedoms we maintain.  If we all are all made to be financially equal, we will be equal. Equally poor!  I do not need to government to make me charitable.  Even being charitable is a right we must protect as individuals.  I would prefer the government not to share my wealth, just my work ethic.  Personal responsibility must be our mantra.  Robin Hood was a just a story but seems to be what our government is becoming.  We the people elect and decide our leaders.  Well, we did at one time.  We are rapidly loosing the freedoms this country was founded on.  The freedoms that have made us great.  Government will never and can never solve all of our woes.  We have turned from God and to man to solve our issues.  Look at the rise and fall of societies.  If we continue on this path, that we are on freight train, break neck speed to, we will loose what countless men have died for.
