Dora The Explorer TV Episode Review: Call Me Mr. Riddles
A review of the season one episode.
Synopsis: Boots is confident he can solve any silly riddle and travels to the tallest mountain to participate in a riddle contest.
What I liked about this episode: I have to admit, some of the riddles are pretty cute. I especially liked the one asked by the Grumpy Old Troll that, I am a bit ashamed to say, I didn’t guess properly.
This is also the case with the final riddle question. I didn’t figure it out the first time I heard it.
What I didn’t like about this episode: There are two different kinds of Dora episodes. The first kind are episodes your child can watch several times and they won’t become irritating. This episode falls into the other category. It was funny the first time I watched it. After that, it got to be pretty annoying; especially after about the 5th or 6th time.
Also, I’m not a huge fan of Boots-heavy episodes. He is a monkey that, quite honestly, gets on my nerves after a while.
Final Opinion: This is a decent episode. But, if you’re an adult, you’ll want to avoid watching it more than once or twice.
