Handwriting Analysis
Tell a person’s personality by just their handwriting.
When we were in grade school, we were all taught how to write the same way. A “t” looks like this, a “q” looks like that, etc. Nobody was taught to write differently than anybody else. This means any difference from handwriting that looks exactly like the letters on your keyboard is because of the individual. By studying and analysing these little personalizations in a person’s writing, you can accurately determine their personality.
There are over a hundred aspects that goes into an accurate analysis. I’m going to tell you about three basic aspects - size, slant, and baseline. But before we start, you’ll need a good writing sample. Just write a few sentences on a blank sheet of computer paper, or any paper without lines, in cursive. Make sure to sign it and put the date. The body of the writing shows what you really are, while the signature shows what you want to project to others.
The size of a person’s writing reflects their desire to be noticed by others. Large writing is sending out the message, “Look at me!” while small writing indicates shyness. If a person has small writing but a large signature, it means they want people to think of them as more extroverted than they really are.
The writer’s slant represents their emotional self. A right slant indicates the writer is responsive, social, and directed more towards the future, while a left slant means the writer is self-reliant, observant, and reserved. Vertical handwriting means the writer is practical, self sufficient and has self control. If the slant varies, it indicates varying moods.
The baseline is like the lines on lined paper. It can be used to detect how the writer was feeling during the time he wrote it. If the words tend to trail upwards off the baseline, the writer was in a good mood, happy or optimistic. If the words steadily sink below the baseline, it indicates a bad mood, or stress. If the writing sticks to the baseline, the person who wrote it was probably focuses on what he was writing about at the time. Writing that fluctuates up and down means the writer is unpredictable, or may be emotionally unstable.
You probably won’t learn anything you didn’t already know from this basic analysis. It could more accurately be described as insightful entertainment. However, if you’re interested in learning more, there are many great books on the subject that you could find at your local bookstore, or on eBay.
