How to Use Feng Shui 101
Feng Shui 101 states for you not to put objects that promote work in a place of rest.
Feng Shui is a eastern teaching about using space to promote harmony, rest and calmness. You are not to put objects that promote work in a place of rest. For example the ironing board can not be leaning against the wall in Feng Shui. It should be in its own space in the laundry area or covered with a nice fabric if there is no where to store it. Anything that represents work should not be in a place for resting, relaxing or sleeping. This is an important principle of Feng Shui 101.
The foyer or entrance way to your home, apartment or room should provide a few minutes of relaxation before entering into the main living quarters. The foyer should not be cluttered with a bicycle waiting to be used or exercise equipment waiting to be tread. You can make the foyer serve its intended feng shui function of a moment of rest by adding plant stands, inviting columns or an interesting sculpture to rest you gaze upon in the appreciation of art. These feng shui items will invite your guests without intruding and having them to take in your living space without a quiet introduction. Feng Shui 101 states that the foyer or entrance way to your home, apartment, or room of living should be an “easy path” to the rest of your living area.
Plants should not have direct contact with the floor to get to the personal touch of feng shui. Do not back chairs to doors as this present an obstacle when there should be full access to the door for the easy path of feng shui. Something should be placed in every corner of the room to prevent energy from falling.
The whole object of focus of feng shui is to clear your space and clear your mind to make your living space more peaceful and not necessarily organized. Using feng shui is to utilize your space with balance in your home and even in your work environment. Feng Shui helps you to rearrange and simplify your space to a place that is more pleasant and more conducive to energizing and relaxing your space.
