Is the End on the Horizon?

With all that is happening in the world right now it is no surprise that people are looking to many religions for answers. War, famine, drought, and economic turmoil now plague our world and the potential for these to get worse looms over us like a dark cloud. Although these types of turmoil have existed for thousands of years, the intensity has been on the increase and is leading us to a pivotal point in history.

There are many people who believe that these things signal a troubling time in our history. With the threat of nuclear and biological warfare, we exist in a time where mankind is equipped to destroy itself. With the current turmoil in the Middle East and the global “War on Terror” some believe that we could be currently engaged in world war three. These threats pose a serious risk to our way of life and very existence like never before.

There are those who believe that the year 2012 will be a key year when deciding the fate of the world. With many cultures throughout history pointing to this year as the end of the world, people have begun to take notice. This date appears as the end in several cultures from around the world. The most famous civilization to predict this date would probably be the Mayans. Their calendar, accurately able to predict astrological events a thousand years in the future, ends on the year 2012. To be more accurate, the calendar does not end but signals the end of the cycle and the beginning of a new one.

For those familiar with the “Bible Code”, a code hidden within the text of the old testament, 2012 also is shown to be a time of great tribulation. The code found within the old testament has shown to be surprisingly accurate when depicting past events while also predicting future events. One example focuses on a code matrix that showed the Prime Minister of Israel being assassinated and provided the year that this would happen. After an individual found this he alerted the authorities to warm them of this possible incident. The authorities did not take him seriously and the PM was assassinated on the exact year provided in the code matrix. Unfortunately for us the code matrix for the year 2012 shows that a comet will destroy the Earth. The “Bible Code” also offers a glimmer of hope as there is another code matrix found while searching 2012 that shows the comet may be destroyed.
