Is the End on the Horizon?

The I Ching, also known as the “Book of Changes”, depicts that the end may be in 2012. Although this book is a symbol system used to identify order in random events, it has been broken down into a mathematical timeline depicting events and changes throughout history. When the I Ching is broken down to this mathematical timeline it comes to an end on the year 2012.

There are also more current methods that depict a dramatic change in the year 2012. One project called the Web Bot Project also depicts dire events occurring in 2012. The Web Bot Project was originally created to identify stock market trends and help predict which stocks will do well and which stocks will tank. The bots crawl the web and read every bit of text in can from every website. After compiling this data it identifies trends within the text to make predictions. Although few people put faith in this method of prediction it just adds to the consensus that we are heading for a major change in the year 2012.

Many of these predictions are thought to have a profound connection to the galactic alignment. This will occur as the Earth, the Sun, and the center of the Milky Way come into perfect alignment. Some people believe this alignment may result in a pole shift, this happens when the North and South Pole switch polarity. As of right now scientists are unable to predict exactly what will occur when this alignment takes place as this only occurs once in 25,000 years.

No one can say with any certainty what we may face in 2012 but mankind has a strong survival spirit. Hope is one of mankind’s most powerful weapons and with it I’m sure that we will continue to survive and adapt to our changing world.
