It’s All in the Bones

Most people know how to play a game of dominoes, but very few people realize that the humble domino can be put to other uses as well.

Most people know how to play a game of dominoes. It is not a hard game to learn and most people master it as children.

The dominoes themselves though, known as bones to the players, have another use which most domino fans might not be aware of…

You can use them to tell your fortune.

And, like the game, it’s not difficult to learn. You even start the same way: a set of dominoes, face down on the table, and a good shuffle.

Next comes the hard part. You reach out with your left hand and pick one up.

And that’s it!

Easy.

Each domino has a different meaning…

  •       Double six: Some money is coming your way.
  •       Six – five: You are going to go place of public amusement (cinema, etc).
  •       Six – four: A law suit.
  •       Six – three: A ride in a car.
  •       Six – two: A gift of some clothing.
  •       Six – one: Soon to perform a friendly action.
  •       Six – blank: Beware of a scandal.
  •       Double five: You are going to have a change of accommodation, for the better.
  •       Five – four: A fortunate speculation.
  •       Five – three: Expect a visit from a superior.
  •       Five – two: A water party.
  •       Five – one: An intrigue of the heart.
  •       Five – blank: The funeral of a non-family member.
  •       Double four: Drinking liquor at a distance.
  •       Four- three: A false alarm at home.
  •       Four – two: Be on your guard against thieves and swindlers.
  •       Four – one: Problems from creditors.
  •       Four – blank: An angry letter.
  •       Double three: A sudden wedding that proves irritating.
  •       Three – two: Don’t waste your time with gambling. Lady luck is not with you at the moment.
  •       Three – one: A great discovery.
  •       Three- blank: An illegitimate child.
  •       Double two: A jealous partner.
  •       Two – one: Expect to mortgage or pledge some property soon.
  •       Double one: Something advantageous, found in the street.
  •       One – blank: Help from a stranger.
  •       Double blank: Yours will be a life without color.

Dispensing with the meaning of the dominoes, now. If you should find the thought of having a jealous partner, an angry letter, or a life without color, is just a tad depressing; you might decide to draw a second domino and have another go. That’s Okay. Fine if you do; and the two readings can then be averaged together. Which is all right if you manage to get a more positive prediction, because it will lessen the effect of the bad one and perhaps even add a little color to your life. If the fates still seem to be ganging up on you though, third time lucky is not recommended. No more than two dominoes should be drawn during the same moon, and any results obtained would be deceiving.

Personally, I will stick to keeping dominoes as a game only. But make no bones about it; I will still keep my fingers crossed every time I am dealt a double six.
