Journey to Truth
Poem.

I had to do it
I wanted to see what the truth looked like
Rumors had roamed along for so long
Hidden by lies wounding round to a dead end road
I had to go for myself
So I got up, left in the middle of a night’s dream, taken flight
And journeyed to never, never land
To come upon its cave
From which the rest of the world hid, from it
In desire not to know of its where-abouts
Preferring legends, fairy tales, and lore
Anything at all to disguise its where-abouts all the more
But there I was
And there it was
And there we were
There was it
No bigger than a bird
Had four legs that would not run,
A knob (By which it could be stood on its head)
And a tail which could not wag
It had no countenance to speak of; If you could call that a face at all
Eyes abounded every which way
Though I could not determine its focus or sway
And I knew for the certainty in it
It was more aware of me than I was aware of it
And aware it was of men
The bread of their philosophy
The butter of their religion
And the draught drawn from the well of their laws
It looked upon me with shinning eyes
And said all at once
As if to confound the wise
When you are amongst the best men of any community or nation
There will be no birth to discrimination’s, slurs, hatreds, or denigrations
Because true understanding
Would never suffer to mother them
