HOW TO TRAVEL

As an Earth sign, you’re not happy flying. Other modes of transport don’t impress you either: in fact, for you, walking is best. Good for the environment and summer holidays centred around your home, but not so good for trips abroad!

Your fear of taking risks may put you at a disadvantage travel-wise and you may find that, although you enjoy going to the same places and doing the same things year after year, your outlook may become limited. Take the plunge and dare to do something different on occasion.

AQUARIUS (20th January – 18th February)

You like to travel alone and often, and love the feeling of freedom that holidays and travel in general gives you. You make it your business to find everywhere you go an interesting and fulfilling experience.

WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO DO

If you decide to spend your summer holidays away from home, you’d choose somewhere quiet, unspoilt and parent-free! You enjoy peace and relaxation, but are keen to get up and go when the mood takes you – usually at a moment’s notice. Nature holidays appeal to you, so a safari would be perfect (dream on!). As long as you’re able to spend time away from other people, to be as “at one” with nature as much as possible, you’re sure to have a great time.

HOW TO TRAVEL

Convenience is your key travel word. You love flying, but whatever means of transport is nearest/ quickest/most available will do you just fine.

HOLIDAY HORRORS

1. Sunburn. You’re likely to turn a not-very-attractive shade of purple if you don’t go out plastered from head to toe with factor 87 sun-cream. 2. Money. You’re the sort who either spends it too quickly or who doesn’t bring enough out with you in the first place. 3. Trouble. You are infamous for not wanting to conform. Watch out for running into trouble abroad and try to remember that your sort of non-conformity will be disapproved of in certain places. Remember: when in Rome, do as the Romans do…

PISCES (19th February – 20th March)

Like your fellow Water signs, Cancer and Scorpio, you often use holidays as a means of escape. But as a deeply sensitive and emotional person, you need your breaks more than most and should try to make the most of time away from your day-to-day routine.

WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO DO

Anywhere peaceful is attractive to you, and your love of the countryside may mean plenty of holidays in picturesque rented cottages and farmhouses. As a Water sign, you also feel drawn to the sea, canals, lakes and rivers. Sailing or fishing holidays are right up your street as peace and quiet is what you like best. Your idea of a nightmare would be a holiday in a jam-packed, baking hot tourist spot. If you’re spending the summer at home, try to avoid doing what everyone else is doing: cycling or picnicking in the country with a few friends might be fun, but taking a dip in the local swimming pool (along with the world and its aunt) really isn’t going to thrill you.

HOW TO TRAVEL

If you’re going away on holiday, you’re not too bothered about how you travel, as you tend to don your personal stereo headphones, stick your nose in a book and drift off into a fantasy world until you arrive at your chosen destination. Even so, many Pisceans would prefer not to go by plane if they had the choice.

Because you live in a bit of a dream-world, you always imagine life is going to be one big rose garden, especially during the summer. You may be incredibly disappointed when you discover this isn’t always the case, and that if you want to have fun, you can’t just sit back and expect it to happen. Don’t rely on other people to make you happy: if you want a memorable holiday, go out and make it memorable.
