The Adventures of Thaddeus and Lebron

This is a myth which I wrote and find it funny and appealing to many age groups.

After this Thaddeus and Lebron climbed the Atlas Mountains but got lost, after many weeks, they returned to the harbor where their ship was docked. The ship and all the men were gone. At first Thaddeus thought they abandoned him, but then Lebron saw some foot prints in the sand which led to a cave. In the cave lived a hideous serpent with tons of riches, who was preparing to feast on Thaddeus’s men. In the cave Thaddeus found a bow and Lebron used his fireballs which successfully defeated the serpent and freed the men. In the cave they found golden armor and riches beyond belief. They also found a huge fast ship which would get them home quickly or so they thought.

After being away from home for a year and a half, Thaddeus was homesick and worried about how his Sophia was and if she was getting any better. He prayed that night to the gods for a speedy trip. The next day one of the soldiers got tempted by the golden apples and decided to eat one of them so he could become immortal. This horrible deed angered the gods who cursed the ship and crew. They had to travel around the sea doing three different quests which pleased the gods.

The first quest was on the Island of Crete where the king was having some trouble with a Minotaur (a half bull, half man creature) which had escaped its prison and was terrorizing the island. It took months for Thaddeus and Lebron to find the Minotaur but when they found it, Lebron launched his fireball at it and Thaddeus skinned it for the king. The king was very pleased at their success and let them stay for a week to rest. After the week the king offered them to stay longer. Since the crew was exhausted from their treks they accepted and stayed for another six months. Finally, Thaddeus decided to get home to his Queen before she become more ill.

After months at sea, Thaddeus made it to the warrior city of Sparta. In Sparta the king had a job for every brave soldier from all over the land; it was to defeat 1,000 soldiers from sunrise to sunset. Thaddeus and Lebron thought this was going to be easy, like most before them, until they realized that the soldiers were an automaton created by Hephaestus. The automatons rebuilt themselves when they were injured. This incident was causing a lot of trouble for both of them but then Thaddeus realized that if Lebron could tear them apart and throw them in opposite direction they could not rebuild. Also, if Thaddeus cut them into fourths they could not rebuild. Finally, they were able to defeat the last one a minute before sunset.

The king was in disbelief when he saw this because his automatons were impossible to kill. He accused them of cheating and made them do another task. The quest was to make up a sport which would interest the king. Thaddeus and Lebron thought about this for months. One day Lebron got mad and through his fireball into a basket hanging from a tree. Thaddeus became inspired. He thought they could play a game with some sort of ball which they could throw into baskets. They started to practice this game and called it Lebronball. With this new sport the king was amused by how athletic each person had to be and how height was a huge factor. He decided to use this game for his men as a training exercise and granted Thaddeus and Lebron their freedom from the island.

The gods were very pleased at all of their accomplishments but Sparta was a year’s trip from Xantos. In total, Five years had passed and finally, Thaddeus and Lebron returned home. Thaddeus was worried that it might be too late and it almost was. Sophia was in her dying hours when Thaddeus got back. She was able to bite into the golden apple and magically became better. There was a huge festival celebrating all of the adventures and triumphs Thaddeus and Lebron.
