The Origin of the Dragon

The likelihood that dragons do exist.

Dragons have long captivated the minds of people across the world, yet in todays doubting society we do not believe that dragons ever existed. Why is this when there is so much evidence for them? The Chinese had dragons. The Old Norse had their famous Drakes, the english the Wyrm. How, then could the idea of the dragon have been spread from the far east all the way to Native America?

People across the world have always believed in dragons, but how did the Ancient Chinese come up with the model of a dragon that is almost identical to the Native Americans’, before there was ever an exchange of ideas between them. The Old Norse and Old English also had a nearly identical view of a dragon. It was mentioned in the epic tale of Beowulf and in the ancient mythos of the Eastern society. So why do we doubt their truth? I give hope to all those who have always wished that dragons existed. Maybe they do not still exist today, but in a world that accepts the idea of the dinosaur, why could dragons not also have existed. Even the Bible mentions a dragon (see Job 40-41). Have hope, fantasy believers.
