The Sky is Falling: Five So-Called End of the World Scenarios
What does the future hold? Will the World end in 2012? Will the Sun put off solar flares to cook the earth? Will global warming be our demise? What’s with all the doomsday talk?
Over the the past 6 months, I have been subjected to every national disaster scenario in my Geology class as well as the movie theater. It’s really quite depressing and a bit terrifying that these predictions are floating around.
One of the most famous individuals in history to predict these happenings was Nostradamus.
Nostradamus was said to decode the Bible, introducing prophecies that have outlined major world events, including
the end of the world. He would use trance and meditation to arrive at certain predictions hidden in the words of the Bible.

However, since historians believe that the Bible is 6000 years old, and NASA and Astrophysicists date the earth to be billions of years old, I hardly believe that the predictions made by Nostradamus about the Bible could be completely true.

Knowing

The latest blockbuster natural disaster movie about the Solar flares that will penetrate the earth, destroying every life form in existence, except for the children that are transported to another planet by aliens that warned earthlings 50 years prior through a telepathic child named Ursala. Great movie by the way~!
Global Warming

The same sort of scenario, only the fact that humans are 10% of problem and what’s been done can not be changed. The glaciers, ice burgs, and caps will melt, and the depth of the ocean will rise causing flooding worldwide. It is a problem, and it’s truly a shame that it can not be controlled.
Polarity Reversal

Every 200,000 years, the earth goes through a shift of polarity. If you pick up a compass at the time that this is happening, it will no longer point North. The idea behind this is, the magnetic shield around the earth is weakening when the reversal is taking place, leaving us open to the harsh solar winds and other strong atmospheric pressure and particles from space. Mega Wave

Geologists have been studying models of previous eruptions and have come to an alarming discovery. If part of the mass structure of the volcano slides into the ocean, it will create a Mega-tsunami close to 900 m. high, moving 500 miles an hour, and measuring 1000 ft waves. Read More~Lauren
A Massive Meteor

This scenario is of no surprise considering it came from previous historical events of dinosaur extinction. People believe that it’s the will of the earth to start over, wiping out all species to create a new life form that will inherit the earth. It sounds bizarre I know, but if you follow the history of the earth, which is dated over 2 billion years old, you will see that catastrophic events have reshaped the planet overtime.
And so the theories of the end will remain unanswered, but one thing is certain. Life have evolved over time, and if it is the will of the earth to start over, there will be no way to stop it.

If you believe in Nostradamus’ prophecies, there is nothing to worry about, ’cause he has “predicted” events until the 38th century!

Will humans migrate into space before this world ends?

I agree with Patrick,if these things happen, there’s nothing we can do.for those who can migrate into outer space, they won’t last long

These are the things that are making me worry. What if this does happen and even if it does not happen in my time what about my family. Well I believe in Jesus and the world will not end unless he is coming back.
You have been reviewed by Victoria Wright writers critic.
You recieved 5 stars for nice pictures and good explanations.
Thank you

My son is addicted to the prophecies of Nostradamus. He is always pointing out to me that something else he predicted has come true. An interesting and well written article.

We’re getting there alright. It is inevitable. The thing is to prepare ourselves in the here and now for what lies beyond. Good job.

I like this article very much. I heard some predictions that 2012 will be a small ‘armagedon’ By that time the people of this earth will be only 2/3 of recent citizens. Disasters by disasters will happen soon. Just prepare ourselves and pray.

You have raised some excellent points, Lauren. It is a fascinating subject and many people have views that, if taken into consideration make perfect sense. Unfortunately (or fortunately,) come what may, we are unable to change the course of action.
A very interesting topic.

Great job Lauren. I love these theories, but I am not Chicken Little. lol I just dont buy all these dates and know how. Aside from the end of times signs in the Bible, I dont think anyone knows how, when, or to what degree the end will come.
