The Year 2012: Another Big But Deadly Bang?

Okay, so the other day, i was channel surfing, and I stumbled on the discovery channel. It caught my attention, so i decided to watch, and after about 30 minutes, I learned some interesting stuff, and here they are.

The title explains most of it, scientists have gathered pieces of astronomic information from ancient Mayans remains, and discovered a prophecy, a prophecy explaining that something enormous, and possibly tragic will happen on December 21, 2012. Many scientists believe that on that day, the world will come to an end. Why are scientists so sure of this? The reason is because of how accurate Mayan calendars are, in fact, they are the most accurate calendars known to existence, even centuries ago till now. But one the other hand, some people think, or rather believe that, on that day, nothing tragic will happen, but perhaps there will be a spiritual awakening, blessing the world.

Lately, there are some insurance companies that are trying to use this as “bait”, and lure you into buying their insurance, saying that if something tragic were to happen, you’d be insured. But don’t buy that crap. If something tragic were to happen, economy would surely fail, and therefore insurance companies would be shut down. And if some really tragic was to happen, we’d all die, and insurance would be as useful as bull crap.

Well, whatever that’s going to happen, we will never know, until the last moment. Anyways, scientists even admits that they’re not 100% sure even anything will happen. Perhaps it’s just a misconception or misunderstanding, but only time can tell…
