Understanding Dreams
If you are wondering what those weird dreams really mean, here is how to understand them.
Have you ever had a dream, and you woke up thinking, “What was that about?” Sometimes you have a scary dream or a nightmare. Sometimes you may just have a strange dream. Sometimes you might dream of a person you have not seen or even thought about in a while. What does it all mean? Are your dreams always what they seem? Or do they mean anything at all?
I have often wondered the same things. Then I recently began studying dreams, talking to the experts, and reading books on understanding your dreams. It was really fascinating! I thought I would share some of the things that I learned with you. If you have a dream, it is about you and what is happening in your life at that time.
A motel in a dream means that something is temporary.
If something or someone is being strangled or is choking, it does not mean that you are going to choke on your breakfast or that you are going to strangle someone! It simply means that you are wanting to hold back something, or that you do not want to tell someone something. Maybe you are hiding something from someone or you have a secret. Or maybe someone has said something that you wish they had of held in and not said.
Drugs in a dream usually mean that you are wanting to numb yourself from something. Maybe you were in a hurtful situation and you are trying to lose those harmful feelings.
Violent and hostile dreams mean that something negative is going on in your life.
Are there holes in the dream? Holes in a paper, on the ground, or in anything else could symbolize the holes in a relationship that need to be fixed.
If you dream about the backyard or if the dream takes place in the backyard, it is about something that you want to keep private. A back yard represents your private space.
A monkey in a dream represents not taking something or someone seriously. It is as if you are monkey-ing around!
If your teeth are falling out, you should have held something in. Something was said that shouldn’t have been. It represents loose speech.
Death in a dream does not mean that you are going to die. If you dream that your child is dieing, it does not mean that their life is in danger. Death represents change. Something in your life or your child’s life is going to either change or come to an end. Most people get scared when they dream about death, but it may actually be a good thing!
