It’s 2011 and with that people wonder about the fate of the planet, humanity, and reality itself based on prophecies both old and new, accelerating Earth changes, and our own growing intuition and dreams about what, if anything, is destined to happen. You’ve read the theories, watched the documentaries and films, and by now have probably formulated your own conclusions.
The prophecy is regarded as the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. Various astronomical alignments and numerological formulae related to this date have been proposed. A New Age interpretation of this transition postulates that during this time, Earth and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era.
December 2012 marks the conclusion of a b’ak’tun—a time period in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar which was used in Central America prior to the arrival of Europeans. Though the Long Count was most likely invented by the Olmec. it has become closely associated with the Maya civilization, whose classic period lasted from 250 to 900 AD. The writing system of the classic Maya has been substantially deciphered, meaning that a corpus of their written and inscribed material has survived from before the European conquest.
Unlike the 52-year Calendar Round still used today among the Maya, the Long Count was linear rather than cyclical, and kept time roughly in units of 20: 20 days made a uinal, 18 uinals (360 days) made a tun, 20 tuns made a k’atun, and 20 k’atuns (144,000 days) made up a b’ak’tun. Thus, the Mayan date of 8.3.2.10.15 represents 8 b’ak’tuns, 3 k’atuns, 2 tuns, 10 uinals and 15 days.

It’s just another year.
Reality will continue on with the usual dramas, as we evolve into understanding its bipolar nature and how the patterns of our behavior are created by genetic predisposition and social conditioning. More medications/meditations, questing and searching… The joy of the journey isn’t in the result, but in the search itself – but what are you searching for?
Reality will shift to a higher (harmonic) dimension, ego identities remaining intact, and all will get to experience a world in harmony and balance – love and light.
Certain souls, who feel they are leaving here now, will return to light, while the rest remain physical.
The consciousness hologram we exist/experience in will cease to exist, all returns to light, souls taking with them their experiences and wisdom, moving into something else, but without their ego identity from this experience.
You are aware that closure has already happened, you are not actually relating to anything here, but your soul wants to replay the ending for the high/rush/thrill of it – one more time on the roller coaster as they say … knowing the outcome.
The buzz about 2012 is based on an alleged Mayan Calendar prophecy that cannot be proven as accurate, but certainly is interesting.
Personally it is remarkably similar to the Y2K situation that happened at the turn of the year 2000. And look, we are still here. There have been doomsday prophecies since the time of Christ. And what’s really interesting is they get worse when we are in times of devastations and depressions.
