by Many people have become concerned with the results or possibility of 2012 happening. However, Haven’t we seen things like this before…?
435 A.D.- Believed that 365 years after the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. was going to be the end of time
500 A.D.- Romans predict end of time by Noah’s ark’s dimensions (500)
950 A.D.- Year 1000 A.D. marked end of time (sound familiar? 1/1/00??)
1000 A.D. Revelation was predicted to occur during this year by the French
1005-1006 A.D.- Famine in Europe spreads idea of “7 years of Famine” from Genesis
1012-1014 A.D.- Expulsion of Jews from Maize spreads rumor that the Lord will punish their enemies
1033 A.D.- End of Time based on 1000Th Anniversary of Christ’s deaTh
1186 A.D.- People hid in caves and mountains for “comets, hail, and fire would fall upon them”
1666 A.D.- Worried people of the fact that 1000 + 666 was 1666 (666 was a cursed number) Christopher Columbus writes about the end of the world
1914- End of the world because Satan was defeated in Heaven and the world may be destroyed for people to go to heaven
1982- Similar to 2012, all planets would line up causing gravitational forces that are unbalanced and intense heat. Only difference was that the planets lined up with the Sun
October 1992- Jesus would come in the form of a thief to those that live in darkness from the Psalms
1994- Writer notes that most Bible texts add up to 1994, which is supposed to be God’s coming
1999- World will end on August 18, 1999
December 31, 1999: Computers will fail resulting in the destruction of earTh
January 1, 2000- Atomic bomb would be set off in Europe, beginning a 6 month war that will wipe out the world
January 31, 2001- Noah’s Ark story would reoccur and a massive flood would wipe out all those who don’t repent
May 21, 2011- World will end by a great earth quake
December 21, 2012- World will end by Mayans prediction
2016- Biological warfare would occur once the world becomes “corrupt”
2034- a theory that the covenants are 2000 years apart, landing on this year
These are 23 of the 220 claims of the end of the world!!! 220!!!! That is ridiculous. Something WILL happen in 2012, but probably nothing end of the world bad. Also, 9/9/09 was supposed to be the date of a meteor crashing to earth like the extinction of dinosaurs. 12/21/12 might have been a date used to scare people because people find it creep when the date numbers are the same one three times. 6/6/06, people were freaking out! This is scientists last chance to scare us because 12 is the highest you can go 12/21/12 would be 1000 years from now! They want to get us good before waiting that long
