A Vision No One Saw Coming- And Who’s to Blame?

     I recently have seen a film on Comedy Central called “Idiocracy”. This movie said that years and years from now the human I.Q. would severely drop. But I believe it’s happening today.

     Recently, I took a quick survey in my mind about students that take my bus. About one out of three speak amost proper English without slang words. The music shouting from the speakers is always rap or hip-hop and never seems to teach any good morals. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate all forms of music but I believe the new generation of rap, rock, hip-hop, and even country at some points are bad for those youth who take it too far.
     Since when was it cool to be a gangster? Since when was “being dumb” a good thing? Since when was being the girl who has had sex with every guy been cool? Since when did 12 year old girls sing songs making referances to oral sex? I would definately say this generation. I don’t blame parents who don’t shelter kids from music, it’s not their fault. Kids will do what they want some way, shape, or form when and how they want; but parents, please guide them in the right direction. Take 10 minutes to ask them how their day was and get them to do homework. Correct them when they have bad manners or speak improper English.
     I truly see an idiocracy rising among the world and I want to turn the tide back to actually thinking and using manners and edicate. Please people, join in and just help the cause in ways you see fit. Thank you for your time.
