In 2050 How Will the World Be?
by Some questions, ideas, and thoughts around looking ahead to the year 2050.
In 2050 apartment buildings will be bigger and houses will be smaller. There will be greater access to healthcare in the United States and more public services available to support the greater population and demands that this places on society.
I will be 76 years old.
Maybe the HIV issue in Africa will be declining and there may be more modernization in that region of the world.
How much more will the sea level have risen? There will likely be more severe storms as the global mean temperature rises.
How many more wars will take place in the interim? Where will these wars occur? Perhaps in Africa as that is a region where the U.S. could still dominate without threat of nuclear retaliation. Perhaps in the former Soviet region where Russia and its former republics may still have issues. South America comes to mind as well.
Will progress have created greater equality and comfort for the masses or will it simply continue to make a certain class and group of people extremely wealthy while not sharing their wealth with others, thereby hording the means of sustenance and relegating the majority to suffering?
