Plausible Eventuality or Far Out Fantasy?: Mosquito Sized Domestic Spy Drones

Is the world of the future one of domestic mosquito sized drones spying on the American people? (or any other people for that matter?) It may sound far fetched to some, and like the ravings of paranoid lunatics to others, but the thing that should make anyone uneasy is that the technology for such a scenario does exist.

While I could see the technology being used to catch criminals, like all good ideas gone awry it could also potentially be abused. I hope that day never comes, but I would suggest that we need to keep a close eye on tech advancements in the future.

I encourage feedback on this subject, as I would like to get other perspectives on the plausibility of this becoming an eventuality. In such a case, all hope for freedom in the world could potentially be shot to pieces, and the term “a little bird (or in this case mosquito) told me” would take on a whole new significance.
