Squared Circle Blog Year End Reveiw

My thougts in a nut shell on how this past year went and what might happen in 2010.

“ Squared Circle Blog” Year end review

With the signing of Hulk giving the TNA promotion some much needed ink , there has been wild and almost ludicrous ideas being thrown around cyber space about the changes that are coming to TNA. Is Hogan taking over the creative end of things . Where does his buddy Eric Bischoff fit into the mix . Are they going to keep the six sided ring . Its almost as if TNA is a big bowl of freshly cook pasta and Hogan and Dixie are just throwing things on the wall to see what if anything will stick.

Now don’t get me wrong , Hogan’s name attached to the Company will be a very useful Tool if it is used properly . But there are some hard and fast truths that have to be faced . Hogan as an In ring talent is just not that good an idea . His heath isn’t good and well, if any one needs any proof , just look up some video from his recent tour done under . He supposedly cant even do the leg drop any more. And if Flair is lurking in the shadows , well that’s something that should’ve happened along time ago.

The six sided ring is definitely something they want to keep . From the start of TNA it was one of the things that first visually set it apart from the WWE. Not to mention the fact that you got talent that has worked exclusively in the six sided ring for seven years and switching back now there would be some adjustment period where the in ring product would suffer and you run the risk of injury. Keep the six sided ring Hogan , you want to be as different as the WWE as you can.

If Bischoff is really onboard with this whole thing I don’t think that the Booking and creative side will suffer that much . But if they are really talking about an N.W.O reunion , who is going to baby sit Scott Hall. Another thing doesn’t Vince own the N.W.O trade mark and you really cant bring them back if you cant call them the New World Order . Lets come up with some fresh ideas .

And last but certainly not least , go all out after Rob Van Dam. He is the best that is out there , and getting him inked to a deal would boast there roster and give them another main event guy that they are in need of. The schedule will fit him better , and if you can get past his one little bad habit he has, he will help you out a lot.

Before I go , a few words on this past Sundays TLC PPV. It has been wildly thrown around that WWE is in a corner because their talent is getting old and they need to push some younger people . While I agree with this up to a point, Sheamus as your New WWE Champion , Really . Drew McIntyre with the IC belt . two guys with a lot of talent who will be stars someday but have barely been around long enough to catch their breath. These two have jumped over quite a few people and that cant sit all that well in the locker room. You have plenty of people to push Vince ,you don’t need to add to the list..

I know I have been sketchy with my blogs but I promise as a new resolution that with all of the changes that are going on , I will have a whole lot more to talk about. Till then , I’ll see you when I see you.

With the final Pay per view of 2009 in the can ,I thought I would reflect on a year that started out with a lot of promise but really got side tracked because of the chairman of the board’s paranoia . Poor booking and lame creative decisions from Wrestle Mania through the summer watered down the overall product to the point that it took a stellar program from Jeff Hardy and CM Punk to keep interest in Smack Down while Raw survives on this guest GM gimmick to slow it’s Ratings plunge. And then we get the big News . Starting on January 4 2010, TNA has announced that it will move Impact to Monday nights to go head to head with Raw.
