The Real Deal About 2012
Is the world really ending in 2012? Read ahead to get the true story.
You’ve heard it all before. Predictions of the world ending, global warming, etc…. But the controversy surrounding 2012 is exponentionally larger than any other world ending prediction. It is predicted by the year 2012,December 21 that the Mayan calender will end, marking the end of its recording of 5,126 years, something that has never happened, and that the world will follow with it. At first glance, when you review the history of the Mayan people, you would believe this to be true, however, this “Prediction” is false. Each day on the Mayan calender stands for a spirit, the calender however has only been extended to fit the 5,126 years which it recorded. People think that because a new calender has not been made, this means the world will meet its end.
However, this is not the first time the calender has “run out”,so to speak. It has happened 4 other times and then new ones were created. The earth is still standing,it was not destroyed 4 times was it? This will mark the end of the 5th cycle, and then a new calender will be made. Thats all there is to it! To say that this marks the end of the world is like saying that on December 31st,the world will end because the calender has run out…. It doesn’t happen does it? We transition into a new year and the cycle begins again. This is the same for the Mayan calender. The Western culture has misinterpreted the Mayan teachings and turned it into something completely untrue. So don’t live in fear! The world will not end today, tomorrow, or on December 21st,2012.
