The Role of Architecture in Future Civilization

Now we save energy, yet every actions causes a equal and opposite reaction. There are societies of the classes and those of the masses. Some classes are always openly adaptable to newer ways of living, masses need suggestion in a very basic mode.

Imagine tomorrow there are newer sit & reach lanes. We are dependent on water-actually see night views of many civilizations clustered around rivers and canals, while water god rages floods. Integrated townships serve a purpose.

Many architects are evolving greener methods. One even trying to green Sahara Desert. Old cities with narrow lanes and courtyard houses conserved heat and maintained privacy & security. We can even evolve clustered worklive apartments for individuals who can live & earn in this recession. Small pollution free flatted workshops are amazing. Hazardous activities can use robotics.

Some new cities have been planned for middle income group, yet no one has thought that the laborers have actually sprawled double that area with hutments. If we start our thinking in rehabilitation for the poor, we will gain the confidence of everyone. For the poor, livelihood by solar rickshaws, better schools, social gatherings, parks so that lanes are not used to play, nearby ration shops, clustered kitchen, proper sanitation, maybe clubbed community sanitation etc would do wonders.

Everytime I contemplate, I drown in the vast abyss of the imagination realm.
