The Truth of 2012

In 2012, there is only one thing people are worried for, and that is dying. You see, thousands of years ago, Mayans prophesied after making the first calander that the world would end encountering the date of December 21st, 2012 at 11:11 p.m. But, it was only a calender. Technically, we were all supposed to die in 1950, and in the year 2000. So, why aren’t we dead yet? I did some research on 2012 as I was in my eighth grade year. The Mayans had merely made a calendar and prophesised wrong, such as we did when we expected the resurrection to take place in Y2K but did it? Of course not. The theory of 2012 is faintly a worry most people would have in this situation. We are taught history because it is supposed to keep us from repeating it, but look at the colombine shooting. Rachel Scott was in love with Anne Frank. Her diary had the same in-depth details of Anne Frank’s, and even entries so similar, it would seem like Anne in the modern day. Rachel Scott was shot at a school shooting, on Hitler’s birthday. April 20th. Two boys, influenced by Hitler, had come to the school and Rachel had been sitting outside for her lunch break. The boys shot her, like hitler killing Anne Frank. But that was inderect. The boys ended up killing themselves, as what I would see as their salute to hitler, killing themselves as Hitler did to himself as well. History creates chaos. and we will all die from history repeating itself, because it will inspire the killers. Good job, America. 2012 will not happen, and we learned about it from History. That is my final point.
