Web Bot, 2012, 2013, and Beyond
Web Bot was created in 1997 by Clif High and George Ure. The original purpose of Web Bot was to spot stock market trends but it has done so much more, and has the ability to capture amazing things. Can our thoughts change the future?
Throughout history many oracles have been said to predict the future. Even more individuals and groups have attempt to put their spin on the predictions of these oracles. These oracles have included things from The Mayan Calendar to various books of The Bible. From the surreal writings of Nostradamus to Terrence McKenna’s DMT (a powerful psycho-tropic drug) inspired Timewave Zero, these oracles are consistently picked apart and speculations are made about our future in regards to them. Many people have concluded that these various oracles point to the world ending in 2012. I, as many people, do not believe that they are actually pointing to the end of the world. However, what I do believe is that all the careless speculations about these oracles are creating a global consciousness that is causing some bad things to happen.
One of the new oracles to hit the scene is a little computer program called Web Bot. Web Bot was created in 1997 by Clif High and George Ure. The original purpose of Web Bot was to spot stock market trends. The way that Web Bot works according to the creators is by using The Wisdom of The Crowds, and spiders that search the Internet for certain keywords. This is suppose to enable a way of tapping into the collective unconscious of the planet to allow people to be able to spot trends and make predictions for the future to be used as a way of making better stock market picks. The creators of this program say they have not only been able to use this program for the stock market, they also are able to make predictions about future events. Some of the predictions that have been claimed as a result of this program’s searches have been The 9/11 Attacks and Hurricane Katrina.

On face value one may think this is a really helpful tool for humanity. It would be if humanity really understood what all of this means. I do not think that they do. Each and every piece of information that I have viewed on the subject of Web Bot, from websites to television shows have failed to state the obvious. All of the glitz and glamor of the predictions gets in the way of thinking about how and why these predictions are being made. The idea that Web Bot is tapping into the collective unconscious of the the world is what we should be examining, instead of the actual predictions and if they have come true or are going to come true.

I read a similar article to this about game developers and how they are designing games to reflect the collective unconscious. It seemed they had more behavioural scientists on staff than programmers. The potential for prediction is definitely there, because as you said, the future is being shaped by mankind – even if we don’t realise it. A very thought provoking piece, Mark.

you have to realize that people are so tired of how things are going in this world they truly want a big catastrophe to happen. Most of us have been voting and trying to be involved to better our society but are tired of nothing working. We need a restart the only way to get that is if a natural disaster wipes the earth clean and only the chosen few survive who ever that may be.
