Gay is Good: Right?
Article on the controversial topic about gay marriage and rights for the gays.
Gays have been around for centuries, since the great military genius, Alexander the great to former United States president James Buchanan. But, only to recent years have gays been more out spoken. These gays want rights and equal treatment. Well is it fair to give “domestic partners” the same rights as married couples? Well if you do that, then “couples” or people who are not married should also receive their rights, since they are not married either. See, to give rights to domestic partners is not right, even looking beyond the part that they are homo-sexual. That issue is simple and strait forward; domestic partners should not be given marriage rights. But more issues involving gays are still stirring.
The next argument that would come to mind is that; should gays be allowed to marry one another? Well several states have started accepting this. But, think about it, do two people of the same gender have a reason to spend life together? And, is it fair for a young child to spend his young years being confused? The child would probably end up as emotionally impaired. So, if gays have a right to join together there should be a law keeping them from having children, just for the sake of the youth of America.
Now an ongoing argument, even before same sex marriage, has been; should gays be allowed in the army. Now I have been split on this subject for years. I can see both points clearly. If a man or woman wants to defend our country and is willing to give their own life up, should it matter whether they are a homo-sexual? But, why should many other men and woman who are also defending our country, have to be bothered by the constant fact that they are next to someone who is “different”?
The issue on gay rights, marriage, and the joining of the army will be debated for ever. It will still be debated long after it is legalized or outlawed. We all will have our opinions and we will all have justifications for all of our reasons. Hopefully the true, morally right decision will prevail and God’s will shall be given out.

I’m really getting tired of trying to put some sense in some people’s minds… but here I go:
“But, think about it, do two people of the same gender have a reason to spend life together?”
I could spend all day giving you reasons… but let me ask you three things
1) do two people of opposite genders have a reason to spend life together?
2) what is that reason?
3) what makes you think me and my “boyfriend”, “partner”, “lover”, whatever you want to call him, don’t have a reason to spend life together?
moving on:
“And, is it fair for a young child to spend his young years being confused?”
confused? about what? I grew up with a father and a mother and yet I wasn’t confused in the least about my sexuality! besides, I don’t know if you know this, but children AREN’T JUDGEMENTAL! so if society doesn’t “teach” them to judge their friends based on race, creed, blablabla yaddayaddayadda, they won’t be… the “confusing” agent here isn’t the sexuality of the parents, but rather the bigotry of society… fix THAT one up!
next in line before I blow:
dang… it’s still the same topic
“So, if gays have a right to join together there should be a law keeping them from having children, just for the sake of the youth of America.”
oh yes… because it’s so much better for the youth of America to be left abandoned in an orphanage than to be adopted by two loving fathers or two loving mothers… or is this about the fact that “the child wouldn’t have a father / mother figure!” please, spare me the hipocrisy… a single individual can adopt a child… is that single individual going to magically become a father & mother figure the moment he/she adopts? didn’t think so… and in case you didn’t notice, homosexual males have female friends (both homo and heterosexual) and vice-versa… grow up and try to come up with PLAUSIBLE EXCUSES!
last one:
“If a man or woman wants to defend our country and is willing to give their own life up, should it matter whether they are a homo-sexual? But, why should many other men and woman who are also defending our country, have to be bothered by the constant fact that they are next to someone who is “different”?”
oh? so you mean that muslims, jews, black people, red heads, people with blue eyes, and people with Influenza, shouldn’t be allowed either? because, in case you didn’t notice, they’re different too! both physically, psichologically, spiritually and otherwise… homosexual people aren’t THAT different from the rest of them for crying out loud… sure, a gay guy likes men… but so do women, and they’re allowed in the army! a lesbian girl likes women… but so do men, and they’re also allowed in the army!!! what about the countless homosexuals already in the army that you do not know about? eh!? once more, TRY a bit harder, instead of throwing these lame excuses…
and if the morally right decision were to be given out, homosexuals would start being treated as they should… but since if homosexuality starts being morally accepted Mankind would find something else to be a bigot about, I think I’ll used whatever nobility I can muster and take the brunt of this, lest someone else be subjected to it!
