The Gay Pride Parade was fantastic in Portland, Maine. There were people dressed in psychedelic costumes and colors, of all colors of the rainbow. The floats were decked out and the entertainment was fabulous. There were belly dancers who shimmied to middle eastern music, except for the last number which was Back In Black by ACDC. The belly dancers danced in front of a rainbow backdrop. A comedian told jokes and also Senator Daemon made speeches about supporting Gay Marriage. It was all affirming and fabulous. I didn’t stay for the whole event but I heard there were drag queens as well. It was the gay Woodstock of the summer!
